While we were walking on the sidewalk, with each of our magazines in out hands.. I realized that I had no idea where on God's creation this boy was taking me. 'Claire!', I think to myself. 'You don't even hardly know this boy! He could be some crazy kid and you wouldn't know until it was too late. Plus your parents don't know where you are either!' But then Gordie stopped walking and interrupted my thoughts, which didn't bother me because I was starting to pretty much freak myself out to be quite honest.

"Hey Claire. I know you are probably worried because you don't know me. But I'm a good kid, and so is my gang. I really do feel like you'll fit in very well! Just trust me, okay?" I could slowly feel all my reason to be nervous fading away.

"I wasn't.. Uh.. Worried. Okay. Well, maybe I was. Yeah. I was a little bit, but that's all! I'm tough and if anything happened I could have beat you up in minutes." Gordie started laughing, gave me a cute little smile, and started walking.

We had been walking for probably 10 minutes, when Gordie made a sudden turn to the right. I instantly saw a tree house and figured that's where the rest of the gang was at. I was right, but they weren't the type of 'gang' I had ever imagined.
