Liam : Mpphfff- Shhhhh- you're going to expose meeee... I-I can cook just fineee...
Leona : What about you try to make breakfast then?~Liam P.O.V
I blush and try to avoid Leona's gaze as she suggests that, knowing full well I can barely make cereal without making a mess.
Liam : Mmmfff- F-Fineee... I can make breakfast.... What do you wanttt...? I-I'm a great cook, I swearr-
Leona : Pancakes! My eyes widen and I internally cringe, knowing pancakes are a huge challenge for me. I swallow my nerves and give her a nervous smile though.
Liam : R-Rightttt... I can totally make pancakes... I totallyyy won't burn them or make a big messs...
I dress up in an oversized pale blue sweater, my fluffy messy hair all over the place as I step into the kitchen, looking around a bit nervously. I grab the pancake mix and try to follow the instructions on the back, but I am not exactly the most focused or coordinated when it comes to cooking.
I try my best to follow the instructions and make the pancakes, but I seem to be struggling a bit. I accidentally mix ingredients in the wrong order, and I almost drop the eggs on the ground at some point.
I am trying my best to focus on the pancake batter, but I seem overly focused on doing everything perfectly.
Finally, I finish mixing the batter and attempts to pour it onto a hot oiled skillet. But instead, I accidentally overfill the skillet, and end up with a pancake that is spilling over the sides. I try to fix this by using a spatula to push the excess batter in, but it just makes a big mess.
Leona : Seems like you have trouble~
I let out a little frustrated huff as the pancake mixture on the skillet spills over and make a huge mess, and I turn to her with a pout on my face.
Liam : D-Don't judge meee- I knoww I'm not the best at cookingggg...Pffftt- these things always go wrong for meeee...
I stand there, staring at my failed pancake attempt for a moment, feeling a bit embarrassed. I am not exactly the most skilled or careful when it comes to cooking, and I know I have probably made a mess of the kitchen.
I continue to struggle as I cook, my movements still clumsy and uncoordinated. I try my best to flip the pancakes, but end up dropping them on the floor a few times. I am getting more and more frustrated with myself with each failed attempt, but I am too stubborn to give up.
Eventually, I manage to produce a few pancakes, but they're far from the picture-perfect ones that you see in cookbooks. They're lumpy and misshapen, and almost all of them are a burnt brown color.
I stand there looking at my creation, feeling a mix of disappointment and embarrassment, but also a bit proud for managing to somewhat salvage my cooking.
I am standing in the kitchen, surrounded by mixing bowls, eggshells, and failed pancake attempts. I look up at her nervously as she walks in, my eyes still reflecting a mix of embarrassment and shame.
Liam : I-I told you I wasn't that great at cookingggg... Don't laugh at meeee...I tried my besttt...
Leona : And you said that you could cook just fine...My face flushes a darker shade of red as she points out my earlier statement. I pout and cross my arms in a little huff, knowing I can't really argue back.
