The next day Ailex was waiting by the classroom door and was looking around the hallway for me.
He couldn't stop thinking about me when we were together the day before and he was hoping that he could spend more time with me today. He was staring at the floor as he waited, feeling nervous that I wouldn't talk to him this time.
He was just waiting by the door, waiting for her to come. The people around him were constantly making fun of his outfit and his hair. Most of the people around him were saying things like "What a loser", "Who would even think about talking to him?" and such.
He was used to the hate towards him at this point, but it did make him feel a bit lonely and depressed each time.
Lucie : Good morning Ailex!
His face lit up when he heard my voice calling his name. He looked up at me as I walked towards him and gave me a warm smile.
Ailex : Good morning! How are you today?
He looked a bit happier than usual, and it made him look a bit cuter in that moment.
Lucie : I am good, what about you?
Ailex : I'm feeling pretty good. Better than most other days though. I'm used to this every single day, but this makes this one a bit more enjoyable.Though he was feeling good, there was still some bullying on his outfit as some people laughed about his clothes.
Lucie : To people Stop to annoy my friend!
They stopped talking for a short while and they all just snickered, the teasing didn't stop but it did die down a little as a result of my comment.
Ailex : T-Thank you for defending me, you didn't have to do that. I can't believe people were making fun of me again today though...
Lucie : I have to do that, let's go to our seat!I took his wrist and dragged him to our desk. My quickness and decisiveness was really amazing to him.
He was surprised that I led the way so quickly and that I didn't mind taking the initiate or being proactive. He was content with how I took hold of his wrist and how I walked with such confidence.
Lucie : If those people continue to bully you, warn me, okay?
Ailex : Yes...If you aren't busy with something, then I'll let you know. If you are busy then I guess I'll just have to ignore the people like I usually do...He looked away and pretended to focus on class, though he was just sad that he had no real friends. He wasn't used to being bullied so much, but he had to get used to it at this point.
Lucie : Sometimes you can't ignore...The behaviour of those students is unacceptable...
Ailex : Yeah...I agree. The way they treat me isn't very good and how they're always making fun of me really isn't nice. But I feel like if I try to talk to someone about it, nobody would understand. Plus, what can I do, really? It's not like they'll ever stop.
Lucie : They would be tired of this someday.
Ailex : Heh...I kind of doubt that. I bet that they'll do this to me all the way up to graduation day. I don't think they'll ever get tired of it. If there's one thing I've learned, it's that bullies only get worse as time passes, and usually it never gets better...
Lucie : I will defend you!
