It has been a few months since Grace joined her now family who had happily accepted her into their home except for their son Jaehyun...
One afternoon her now mom came back home with Jaehyun safely after picking him up from school. The little Jaehyun looked quite grumpy that day for some reason.
"Grace! I have some great news for you darling!" Grace ran up to her mom curious about the great news. "What is it mom?"
"You'll be going to school with Jaehyun now! You're gonna make a bunch of friends there! Isn't that great?" Grace's eyes lit up after hearing the news.
She was so happy that she was gonna be able to make some friends. The poor little girl was getting bored of playing alone, she wanted to play with Jaehyun but he was either at school or just not acknowledging her presence at home.
Her mother then bent down to Grace's level and whispered in her ear. "Now Grace. Promise me you won't tell anyone what you really are okay? Act like the other kids." Grace quickly nodded, it would be some real trouble if people found out her real identity.
"Grace, my daughter! We have something else to show you." Her dad said signaling to follow him into his office. After entering his office he walked towards a statue and turned it's head which seamed to have activated something.
Suddenly the wall moved revealing a secret entrance to somewhere. Grace was mesmerized at the sight of this. "Where is this leading to?" Grace asked looking up at her mother.
"You'll see, it's a surprise darling." Her mother said smiling at her as they entered through the secret door that then led to a staircase going to an underground room.
As they entered the underground room, the lights lit up revealing some kind of training laboratory.
"Here we will be training you so that you become a very strong girl in the future. You'll be able to develop your powers here." Grace was fascinated at the thought of discovering the powers she had.
After showing her the surprise Grace stayed in her room looking at all the new supplies she got for school.
At dinner time they all ate at the same table and talked about their day. Grace hearing Jaehyun talk about his day at school with his friends made her want to go to school even more, it sounded like so much fun to her!
"So Grace, are you excited for tomorrow? It's gonna be your first day at school!" Her dad asked her. "Yes I'm so excited! I hope I can make lots of friends!" Grace said happily while smiling, she then looked in the direction of Jaehyun who was in front of her.
"I hope you make none and that nobody likes you. I was the only child in the house, I had all the attention on me but you took it all away ever since you came here. Mom said you were a 'special little girl' but what's so special about you? The fact that you can take all the attention away from me?"
Oh...
Her first power: Mind reading.
Grace felt bad hearing that Jaehyun felt like that about her. She never wanted to take the attention from anyone. Her smile started to fade a little.
"Now remember kids you are brother and sister so you need to protect each other no matter what and Jaehyun be careful with your sister remember that I told you she's special okay?" Their mother said and Jaehyun just nodded quickly while Grace looked at him sadly.
