chapter-1, And So It Begins

Author's Note before starting the chapter, I will be using the English names of all the Pokemon and the characters (except koharu cause koharu is just superior to Chloe)

Also since I'm actually going to be following the rules of time I will alter the ages of goh and koharu(cause why not) anyway goh and koharu will be 4 years younger than ash and his buddies. Hope ya enjoy the story.

"Pikachu, use quick attack" A loud voice echoed through the halls of an abandoned powerplant. The owner of the voice was a raven haired boy who seemed to be in his mid teens, despite having a relatively young face the boy was around 5'11, having rather lean body and slightly tanned skin. This boy was none other than our protagonist and hero Ash Ketchum who has been on a journey to 'catch em all' for the past 6 years.

Upon hearing the words of the boy a yellow rodent-like creature started running at extreme speeds with its body getting a silverish outline and headbutted a large yellow bird which mind you, seemed extremely aggravated at the rodent and boy for disturbing its little nap time.

The oversized chicken screeched loudly and launched streaks of lightning in anger and irritation towards the yellow rodent who seemed to take it head first and remain unfazed.

"Really zapdos? You still gonna keep spamming thunder when it clearly doesn't affect Pikachu?" The boy said in a flat tone as if he were disappointed. "This is the 3rd time, do you not learn from your mistakes?" The boy asked as if he were having a casual conversation with the legendary bird in front of him. In reply to which the oversized chicken let out a deafening roar and formed a glowing brown sphere in front of its beak and launched it towards the yellow rodent. 'Oh shit that can't be good' the boy thought to himself, his smugness and joking attitude seemingly gone "Pikachu dodge it QUICK" the boy shouted but to his dismay the attack hit Pikachu in the face and blew it away towards one of the walls, seeing this the boy broke into a sprint In an attempt to catch the rodent but despite his efforts he couldn't reach in time and the rodent hit the wall with a loud thud bending the aluminium coat on the wall and leaving a huge hole. When the smoke created by the collision was finally cleared out the boy could see his partner with swirly eyes falling to the ground from the crater in the wall but luckily the boy threw himself on the ground and managed to catch his buddy.

The boy looked at the body of the now dead rodent, blood gushing out of its mouth and its body growing colder by the seco- just kidding just kidding don't leave yet it was just a joke, we don't kill mons out here also I'm not one of those emo ahh dudes who kill or betray to show character development. (But I did have y'all in the first half didn't I huh? Heh? Lol moving on)

As the boy held the body of the rodent with swirly eyes, the big bird scoffed loudly, making sure it was heard as an attempt to taunt the boy. It would've worked wonders if it were 6 years ago but the boy right now was not the 10 year old overly enthusiastic and loud Ash Ketchum who was always ready for a battle. The boy right now was a mature and calm person who had grown and learnt from his journeys and experiences throughout the 7 regions.

And much to zapdos' unamusement (that isn't a word apparently)the boy kept a determined face and tossed a Pokeball in the air " Charizard you're my last hope now" he said as a huge orange dragon a few inches taller than the boy appeared on the field "use wing attack" he said as the dragon spread it's wings majestically and flew straight towards the oversized chicken hitting it square in the chest with it's now glowing wings, knocking the bird out of the sky as a result. Seeing this chance the boy took a great ball and threw it at the yellow chicken. Unsurprisingly though the ball hit the bird right in the head and opened to release a red ray of light which engulfed the body of the legendary bird and sucked it back inside the ball. Boy and dragon watched in suspense as the ball fell to the ground and made a familiar wobble sound and wobbled around

Once,
the boy and dragon kept their eyes fixed at the ball as if it would disappear if their eyes wandered away from the ball.

Twice,
Boy and dragon still kept their sights fixed at the ball just less intently.

Thrice,
the smiles on both faces were as evident as ever as both were grinning from ear to ear and the boy had a glint in his eyes similar to one children would have when receiving presents at Christmas.

And after much anticipation the ball finally made a 'ding' sound signalling that the boy was now the proud owner of the oversized electric chicken. Hearing this, both Ash and his charizard jumped with joy. "Zapdos has been registered to the pokedex" a familiar robotic voice came from Ash's rotom phone but Ash's attention was somewhere else. Ash was looking at the blue translucent screen that appeared in front of him. The words written on the screen read:

And imma wrap it here for now hope you enjoyed the chapter and yes I did a little system thingy to make the story more interesting 1k words for the first chapter of my first fic is not very bad (at least I think so). I'll try to be consistent with the updates and make short chapters (:
