Hello! I have been working on something very interesting and the time got away from me and I also couldn't update because of the fancon. So, more updates for today!

Becca checked the time on the techbit and sighed loudly enough for Raine to give her a look. 'He should be here by now.' She continued to pace but paused when she felt like someone was watching her.

Raine was huddled against the side of the old windmill, staying out of the chilly wind. 'Well, Kal said they detected the ship outside the solar system, right?'

'Ja,' Becca replied, her tone distant. Something earlier had tickled her senses, and she continued scanning the forest on the other side of the creek next to the windmill. Not finding anything, she sighed and gazed up at the skies, expecting to see the new ship any tick. She looked over at Andren, who was walking around and snacking on jerky.

'What's this guy's name again?' Raine asked.

'His name is Sres,' Becca replied and popped the collar of her leather jacket. With her arms crossed for warmth, she did her best to ignore the cold. 'Have you met a Gyr before?'

Raine shook her head and looked over at Andren, who had rejoined them.

'They look like a dragon or lizard,' Becca said. 'Sres has this cool mohawk fin over the crest of his head.'

Raine grew wide eye and grinned. 'Do they talk with a hiss?'

Becca mirrored the smirk and nodded. 'Ja, it can get a little hard to understand them at times.'

'How do you know Sres?' Andren asked.

'I bought the Pacifica off him. He was recommended to me by another merc.' Becca gazed up at the sky and thought back to the first time she'd met Sres. 'He sells and trades large equipment, mostly used stuff.' She had also made another purchase from Sres, piggybacking off the sale of the ship to get a discount. 'I'll do the talking when he gets here.'

'Well, you're the only one that can speak Jero,' Raine reminded.

Becca shrugged and said, 'True.' Then a boom drew her attention upward to the distant but reflective metal. 'I think that's him.'

Andren and Raine stepped away from the windmill and looked up into the blue sky. But they all were forced to take shelter next to the building as the winds kicked up more from the ship's arrival. They cursed and ducked around the other side when it became too strong. After everything settled and the engines went silent, Becca came around the side first.

The massive ship was a single haul vessel with four streamline engines on either side that continued humming even after they were shut down. The sunlight reflected off the ship's mirror-like finish as they neared it. At the stern a large door unlocked and started to lower, but the lift was empty.
