ESO - Book one: Daggerfall's Tribute.

Chapter One : Shadowed Trust

' God, this is boring. Listening to Generals and Officials talk about which Fort to attack next. I want some Real action...' A Boy thought from his seat at the Daggerfall Meeting table.

The boy was about 15 years of age, with lightly tanned skin and dark green eyes. His hair was black and messy. He wore mostly black clothing; a hood, long sleeve shirt with made of leather, leather greaves, and black leather boots, all black.

He worked as a Rogue for the Daggerfall Covenant, sneaking into enemy Forts to steal paperwork and plans, some bloodshed along the way.

The black haired boy was at a meeting, the room full of Officers, Lieutenants, and Generals, all bickering about how to take Fort Dragonclaw, which was a major Fort for the Ebonheart Pact.

-- 3rd person POV --

" General Mikkel, I do not think that sending a army of 200 soldiers will be enough! You know that Fort Dragonclaw has more than 1,000 soldiers in its possession. You're going to send those men to death if you do that! " Exclaimed a short Orc, her dark brown eyes narrowing at the General she was yelling at. " And, Officer, how would you know that? " General Mikkel stated calmly, his eyes closed as he leaned back in his chair.

The Orc's face was filled with confusion and anger." Are you saying I'm betraying the Covenant?! The reason I know this is because I sent our best scout to that Fort, and they reported to me! " she yelled, her hands gripping the wooden table, knuckles white.

The room got silent, and General Mikkel stood up from his seat, and cooly glared at the Orc. " I'm done for tonight. Do as you please, Officer, and report to me how you're siege went. Meeting dismissed, have a great night. " he said, and walked out of the door, followed by the other higher-ups till there were only the boy and Orc left.

" For Akatosh's sake, he doesn't think..." The Orc sighed, and turned to the Boy, who was still silently sitting in the chair across the room. " Alex, I need you to do something for me, " she paused, and got a nod from the boy, whose name was Alex, " I need you to sneak into Fort Dragonclaw and steal papers for plans of their next Attack on the Covenant, understood? "

Alex merely nodded, and stood up, walking out the door of the Meeting room.
