As they enter their third year, a shift begins. Their arguments become less hostile, and they start to notice qualities in each other that they hadn't before.

Scene: College Library

The library is quiet, with students scattered around, engrossed in their studies. Gwen and Sheena sit across from each other, books and notes spread out. The late afternoon sunlight filters through the windows, casting a warm glow on their study table.

Gwen: Hesitant, looking up from her book "Hey, Sheena, can you help me with this problem? I can’t seem to figure it out."

Sheena: Surprised, raising an eyebrow "You’re asking me for help?"

Gwen: Sighs, rolling her eyes "Yes, I am. Don’t make a big deal out of it."

Sheena: Smiling warmly "Alright, let’s see what you’ve got."

Sheena moves her chair closer to Gwen’s, their shoulders almost touching. Gwen feels a flutter in her stomach as Sheena leans in, their heads close together. Sheena's perfume is subtle but intoxicating.

Sheena: Softly "Okay, show me where you're stuck."

Gwen points to the problem in her book. Sheena's fingers brush lightly against Gwen's as she turns the page, sending a shiver down Gwen’s spine.

Gwen: Clearing her throat "Uh, right here. I just can't get past this step."

Sheena: Nodding, focused "I see. Let's break it down."

As they work through the problem, their heads move closer, almost touching. Gwen finds herself stealing glances at Sheena, noticing the way the light highlights Uh her hair and the focused expression on her face. Sheena’s voice is calm and reassuring, guiding Gwen through the steps.

Sheena: Smiling "See? It’s not so bad when you look at it this way."

Gwen: Smiling back, feeling a warm rush "Yeah, it actually makes sense now. Thanks."

Sheena: Playfully "You’re welcome. Now you owe me one."

Gwen: laughing "Fine, but next time I’m helping you with your essay."

Sheena: Grinning "Deal."

They share a moment of silence, their eyes meeting. The air between them is charged with an unspoken connection. Gwen feels her heart race, realizing how much she enjoys these moments with Sheena.

Gwen: Softly "You know, I think we make a pretty good team."

Sheena: Looking into Gwen’s eyes "Yeah, we do. We really do."

Their hands accidentally brush again as they close the book, neither of them pulling away immediately. The simple touch feels electric, leaving both of them lingering in the moment.

Scene: Leaving the Library

As they pack up their things, the atmosphere between them is lighter, filled with a new sense of understanding and closeness.

Gwen: Smiling "Thanks again, Sheena. I couldn’t have done it without you."

Sheena: Smiling back "Really. Anytime, Gwen."

They walk out of the library together, the sun setting behind them, casting long shadows on the path ahead. The campus is quiet, and they stroll side by side, the newfound warmth between them making the evening feel magical.

Gwen: Hesitant, but hopeful "Maybe we could study together more often?"

Sheena: Smiling warmly "I’d like that a lot."

They share a smile, knowing that this was just the beginning of something deeper.

Scene: Vergara's House, 9 PM

The front door creaks open as Sheena steps inside, her backpack slung over one shoulder. The house is dimly lit, with the soft hum of the television in the living room. Sheena's parents are seated on the couch, their expressions a mix of concern and relief.

Maloi: Looking up, worry evident in her voice "Sheena, you're finally home. It's late. Where have you been?"

Sheena: Slightly startled, closing the door behind her "Oh, hi Mom, Dad. I was at the library."

Colet: Raising an eyebrow "The library? Until 9 PM?"

Sheena: Nodding, dropping her backpack on the floor "Yeah, I was studying with a friend. We have big quizzes coming up, and we lost track of time."

Maloi: Softening "You should have called, honey. We were getting worried."

Sheena: Apologetic "I know, I'm sorry. I didn't realize it was so late until we were packing up to leave."

Colet: Curious "Who were you studying with?"

Sheena: Pausing for a moment, then smiling "Gwen. We’ve been working on some problems together. She's really smart, and we've been helping each other out."

Maloi: Smiling "That's good to hear. It sounds like you're making good friends."

Sheena: Nodding "Yeah, we actually work pretty well together."

Colet: smiling "Just make sure you don’t stay out too late. Studying is important, but so is getting enough rest."

Sheena: Grinning "I will. Thanks, Dad. I'll head to bed now."

Maloi: Softly "Goodnight, sweetheart. We're proud of you for working so hard."

Sheena: Smiling warmly "Thanks, Mom. Goodnight."

Sheena heads upstairs to her room, her mind still buzzing from the study session and the unexpected connection she felt with Gwen. As she gets ready for bed, she can't help but think about how much things have changed and how much she’s looking forward to what the future holds.
