Baron Erestatle is coming to visit. He had come into this life earlier than my past one. Since I turned this perfect and rumors about me changed, he thought he could hog me all to himself to strengthen his connections by marrying me to anyone really.

In my past life he only came on my wedding day, and he caused a fuss and almost started rumors about the Muguet house. But he can't, none can. Since selling me to the north, the Muguets never did so well in trading, crafts, and even their little provincial army got bigger, better and stronger, at the cost of my happiness and freedom.

I cleaned all day to keep myself together, to be as perfect as always, I know I will be anyway because I got too used to doing so, yet I fear that I'll slip in front of the man that tortured my mother right in front of me.

Also that. He exhorted  her to have whatever money and power he longed for. And she did refuse because my stepmother was cutting off our allowance every now and then, so she really couldn't give him anything.

Even with everything he's put my mother through, she couldn't hate him, and he was genuinely nice to her and even cried when she was dying, and he paid all the money for her burials. Maybe that's not enough reason to trust or forgive him, but I'll live in guilt if I don't change his future.

    "Father?"

"He's here Lirika." Father sighed and I can tell he was really worried about what will happen when I go in, after all the wedding is very near. He might force me, hurt me, and maybe kidnap me. All I know is that he's crazy and he could do anything for his own sake. But I have no other choice but to save him. After he dies, his belongings will go to the emperor because he has no family and almost all the families in the south hate him for what he did to the actual Baron and his daughter. If that happens, his wealth will come to me most likely because even though he married again he doesn't have kids.

I opened the door for myself, as this is a special room only outside family members can come in or go near the room.

"Baron." I looked at him as he locked eyes with me, staying silent. His green eyes were fierce and captivating, burning with hostility and anger. The intensity in his gaze sent chills down my spine, and I felt a knot of fear tighten in my stomach. Suddenly, in an instant, his eyes softened, but it was the kind of softness that made my blood run cold, like the calm before a storm.

"Oh, Liliya, look how you have grown." he rose from his seat as I smiled. He leaned in for a hug but I stopped him, and said, "Do you need money? Because you didn't even get my name right."

He hesitated, then burned with anger, saying, "You ungrateful bastard," he turned around and walked around the room. "How could you recklessly marry from the north? And a man you don't even know? Without telling me? You had to have lost your mind ever since she died. You must be missing her a lot." he smirked.

    "Please,"

"Disobey your father. This poor grandfather got no one to count on but you, Darling." The way he spoke his words, it always had a touch of poison.

"But how could I? And for only you? My father is far more important than someone who didn't even bother remembering my name." I looked at him, and for the first time I locked my eyes with his.

"You come to play with your words, tricking me into believing that you actually care but no one ever deos care, so how could you be any different?" I was about to keep going, but out of nowhere he slapped me.

"Shut up! You actually deserve nothing!" He looked at me angrily, but I didn't care. All I can think of is grabbing that vase and killing him before he is executed.
