"I am lost," mutters a voice in surprising serenity.
Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical College's First Year Student, Special Grade Sorcerer, heir and pride of the Gojo Family—or used to anyway. Satoru Gojo—male, sixteen-years-old—finds himself whisked away in an unfamiliar place. The bustling city streets of Tokyo was no more, and what he sees around him is nothing but darkness, or supposed to be darkness. Satoru adjusts his sunglasses, revealing two bright eyes that can see even in the darkness as if it was day time.
Looking around, there seemed to be nothing else around. Nothing else, indeed, save for the massive imposing door at the other end of the dark room.
I sense people, Satoru thought as he focused his gaze beyond the five-meters tall door and on to the three life signatures beyond. He had a lot of questions in his mind. Where was he? What are these strange energies in the atmosphere? Is this even Earth? What brought him here?
As impatient as he was in his current predicament, he stayed calm and collected. That's what made him a Jujutsu Sorcerer—the talent of skilled and refined emotional control to manipulate cursed energy much more effectively. That's why, even in this seemingly incomprehensible situation, he was able to think rationally.
Satoru snapped from his momentary stupor as the entire room began to quake. Whatever was happening beyond those doors was anything but ordinary. Tucking away his sunglasses in his pockets, Satoru walked forward to the door. Eyeing it curiously while maintaining a neutral expression, Satoru forced it open.
As soon as a gap emerged from the doors, Satoru instantly cocked his head right just as a bright beam of fire went pass through where his head was just a split-second ago. It was an instinctive reaction, a natural reflex of his body despite having the Limitless cursed technique.
Not minding what happened entirely, Satoru looked back to the inside of the room. There, he finds... a girl and a boy. A white-haired young man similar to Satoru and looked around his age, too. Only that the boy was missing an arm and an eye as he lied there unconscious in the arms of the younger girl.
Cries and despair echoed. Satoru switched his focus further and found himself looking at a multi-headed beast. A hydra? He thought, his mind still as collected and calm as it always was. The girl was trying to protect the boy from the gigantic monster that was assaulting them, the silver-headed dragon-like and hydra-like entity.
Scanning everything with the Six Eyes, Satoru can see the girl using every ounce of her strength to keep the boy alive. "Again, that energy..." Satoru already had a theory in his mind. What really happened to him, and where he was—he's all but certain now as he eyed the strange energy in work by the will of the girl.
"Magic," Satoru Gojo muttered in a whisper, his formerly thin line of lips widening into an interested smile. Satoru can tell the girl was not letting the boy die at all costs. Finally pulling his hand from the door, Satoru began his walk forward, every step having an unspoken confidence and leisurely arrogance.
And thus, the girl goes, not noticing Satoru Gojo's presence behind him. Taking in the gun of the boy, she set off to fight the Hydra on her own, in hopes that it would distract it from the hiding spot of the boy. However, reality was not so simple as to be redefined by the will of the living.
"—AH!"
She screamed, grimacing in pain as she got sent to the wall with a painful impact. None of them still noticed Satoru even though he's nearly halfway to the large room. But Satoru can't help but be amazed by the girl who displayed inhuman endurance. No, it's more accurate to say she's healing.
Despite the pain, she stood up, her legs attempting to break down, but simultaneously healing. Just as the feelings of hopelessness and helplessness was making themselves apparent in her face, the boy stood and swept past the distance with a fairly impressive speed.
"Don't cry, Yue... you won this fight..."
"...Hajime!!!"
Satoru Gojo found himself unable to intervene or look away. He was interested in all the dramatic shenanigans, even disturbingly viewing it as something akin to an entertainment. Satoru Gojo had a screw loose, a tinge of slight psychopathy—and for better or for worse, it was what made a sorcerer great back on Earth.
Then, the boy carried the girl after whispering something and he dashed. The boy—Hajime—dashed and dashed, all while avoiding the elemental beams of the Hydra. His speed was impressive as Satoru mused, but he didn't think that'd beat the Hydra, so he watched.
Having regained his gun, he fired it in pinpoint successions. But not a dent was put in the Hydra's massive and tough body. "That's my cue," Satoru muttered as he instantly appeared beside the two, facing them and his back facing the Hydra.
He wanted to experiment something, so he let out his concealed cursed energy. Judging from the tremors resounding in the entire room and the reactions of this Hajime and Yue people, this magic energy and cursed energy seemed to resonate with each other despite the varying differences.
Both Hajime and Yue were forced to their knees in submission.
"Nice to meet you, I should say," he said, his language being adapted by the Six Eyes as to communicate effectively and easily. Hajime and Yue found themselves fixed in place, unable to look away from the vibrant blue eyes that shone with stars of gold and silver dancing in them. The presence was massive, dwarfing both theirs and the Hydra's.
Not saying anything more, Satoru felt compelled for a slight flexing.
So, looking back without regards to the two in front of him, Satoru cast his cursed technique without hesitation, "Lapse: Blue," he muttered, and the Hydra contorted, twisted, and collapsed beyond recognition. In the blink of an eye, the void forced the world to correct itself. All the heads of the Hydra, as well as a massive part of its torso, were obliterated to nothingness.
Satoru eyed his achievement with an amused smile, and he felt six loud bangs resound behind him. Looking back nonchalantly, he focused on six bullets hovering in front of him with an unbothered look. This Hajime guy just tried to kill him.
"W-What?" Hajime muttered, perplexed as he eyed his supersonic bullets stopped by Infinity.
"Is that what I get for saving your asses? Talk about ungrateful," he said with a dangerous frown. That alone conveyed the threat that Satoru Gojo intended as the boy dropped his gun and put his hands up. Satoru donned a smile that did not reach his threatening eyes, "I have a bunch of questions I want answered. And while I doubt the two of you can do anything; I further doubt that you can escape from me."
He said, but the two were really persistent. Hajime just looked like he submitted in order to buy time for himself and Yue to recover. Instantly, what looked like a flash bang and a grenade dropped in front of him. Surprised yet amused, Satoru casually wiped away the smoke surrounding him. It was clear he wasn't taking any of this seriously.
Then, six more bangs resounded a few dozen meters away. Six bullets tore through the air and stopped just in front of Satoru's head before dropping harmlessly to the ground.
"Tsk," Hajime clicked his tongue as he eyed his companion. "Yue!"
Then, a massive ball of blue fire emerged on top of Satoru. It descended and engulfed his entire body. Celebrating on the direct hit of such a powerful spell, both Hajime and Yue smiled at each other.
"Can't you learn?" Both froze as the voice echoed surprisingly loud in the large chamber. The blue flames dispersed to reveal an unharmed Satoru Gojo. Not even a speck of dust in his clothes or hair, and not a single scratch in his flawless pale skin.
"No way..." Yue muttered, unable to take his eyes off of the guy.
"Yes way," A playful voice whispered to her ear behind her. Not having a chance to look back, Yue's body was shoved to the ground by Satoru's casual stomp, and before Hajime can react, his body was mysteriously pulled by an unknown force towards Satoru as the latter gripped the former's throat effortlessly.
Incapacitated, in an instant—just like that. Yue struggled to breath against the strength of Satoru's foot in her back, while Hajime struggled to breath against the iron grip of Satoru's hand.
