Chapter 5 Pt2: The Aftermath of Betrayal
As the night wore on, the silence was broken by whispers of suspicion and doubt. "Do you think Yoongi acted alone?" Namjoon asked, his brow furrowed. Jungkook's eyes flickered, a hint of guilt in his gaze. Jhope's expression remained unreadable, but his eyes never left mine.
Jimin's grip on me tightened, as if he feared letting me go would allow the darkness to consume me again. I felt a pang of guilt for putting him through this, for bringing this danger into our lives.
"We need to get to the bottom of this," Namjoon said, his voice firm. "We can't let Yoongi get away with this."
Jungkook nodded, a determined look on his face. "I'll do some digging, see what I can find out."
Jhope's eyes never left mine, his gaze piercing. "I'll help Jungkook. We'll get to the truth."
As they began to make plans, I felt a sense of relief wash over me. I wasn't alone in this. My friends were here for me, and together, we would face whatever lay ahead.
But as I looked into Jhope's eyes, I couldn't shake off the feeling that he knew more than he was letting on. That he was hiding secrets of his own.
And in that moment, I realized that the darkness that had haunted us for so long was far from over. It was just beginning.
