It's had been a few weeks since the couple were last assaulted, But they were both happy and peaceful in each others company.

Charlotte was sat at home half asleep on the sofa watching TV, she heard the door open and slam which sent a jolt down her body. "Mia?" She called down the empty hallway, Her girlfriend walked in stumbling in her feet from side to side. "Woah, Woah, Woah, Mia what happened." Charlotte ran up to Mia helping her stabilise, the emotion on her face turned to worry.

"Oh hey sweetheart" Mia said her words slurring at the end, her legs almost giving in if it wasn't for Charlotte holding her up.

"Hey Mia, what happened?"

"Oh my god, Are you drunk?" Charlotte could smell the alcohol coming from her breath as she held her close, her fingers around her waist while her face looked at her with a hint of concern.

It wasn't until long she figured out what happened, Roger, that man was going to be the death of Charlotte, nothing made him happy everything made him angry.

Charlotte gently placed Mia on the sofa, her head slightly elevated into Charlottes lap, Her fingers dancing through her red long hair.

"Rest sweetheart, Rest." The calm elements in Charlotte voice sent Mia to sleep, She laid back her fingers still dancing in her red hair, her eyes fluttered shut and she peacefully feel asleep.

Next morning

Charlotte was the first to wake, the tiredness had got to her brain, she felt guilty about last night, she wasn't there to help for her sweetheart  but she didn't know today was the day. Mia had surprises planned and a whole bunch of activities.

Mia slowly opened her eyes, her headache banishing against her head, She held her head and whispered.

"Sweetheart can I have some headache tablets,"

Charlotte got up and stumbled over to the kitchen, the tiredness still hadn't worn off yet, She bent down to the cabinet and slowly opened it.

She wrapped her hand around the tablets and carried them back over to Mia, "Here sweetheart" She crouched down next to Mia and got two out.

Mia took the headache tablets off her and swallowed them quickly, She rose from the couch and got up to go upstairs.

Mia didn't care what she wearing she knew Charlotte was the love of her life and she wanted to spend it with her and her only. The journey they had was amazing, the ups and downs in their relationship shaped them together.

She grabbed a ring box, she opened it and saw the black diamond attached to a shiny silver ring.

Mia shut the box and put it in her pocket, then walked downstairs.

"Charlotte can you come to the kitchen please,"

Charlotte heard the voice and immediately got up and walked over, her feet scuffling the floor while her messing hair started to go down.

She got into the Kitchen and faced Mia, "what's up sweetheart?"

Mia instantly got down on one knee and pulled the box out and opened it.
"Charlotte, You are my one and true love and I want to spend the rest of my life with you, will you marry me?"

Charlotte was tearing up but she nodded her head quickly and held her hand out while tears fell down her cheeks, Mia took the ring out and placed it on her finger, the black diamond suited her amazingly.

"Funny thing sweetheart," Charlotte pulled a ring box out to, "I was going to ask today as well," Mia gasped and looked at the box as Charlotte carefully opened it.

"It's beautiful, but as much as you,"

Charlotte took the ring out and placed it on Mia's finger, The red gem shining in its glory and the silver banding around her finger was delightful.

"I love you Mia,"

"I love you more Charlotte,"

They both wrapped their arms around eachother holding onto each other while tearing into their shoulder, "I wonder how we both thought at the same time, it's like we were made for each other!"

Mia chuckled a bit and pulled away and kissed Charlottes forehead.
"Im gonna spend the rest of my life with you."

Roses are red
Violtes are blue
Nothing in this crazy world
Could keep me from loving you!

Marriage is scary but Mia took that risk, so should you (when your older).
