Priya's heart raced as she clutched Peehu tightly in her arms, relief flooding through her. They had found their daughter after what felt like an eternity of fear passed through them by the thought of loosing her. Although the kidnappers were arrested, and Peehu was safe. But Priya's anger towards Ram had not abated. She could hardly look at him without feeling the surge of anger, frustration and betrayal.
She snapped out of the memory lane as she was sitting with peehu who was enjoying her chocolate eclairs.
The moment they shared ago flashed in front of her eyes racing her breaths but mother in her was still angry unable to forgive Ram because of his careless attitude. Inspite she knew at her heart that he didnt do it intentionally when it comes to his love she has seen the peak of hi care toward his closed ones. But incident kept lingering in her mind.
That evening, Neha and Vikram's sangeet was the last place Priya wanted to be, but she knew she had to put on a brave face mask for her best friends.
She thought to just be there for neha and vikram.
She dressed in a beautiful saree, trying to focus on the celebration, but her mind kept drifting back to the events of the past few days. She was still fuming at Ram for his negligence.
The venue was a full of colors, with people dancing and cheerishing, completely absorbed in the symphony of music.
Priya found a quiet corner, away from the crowd, needing a moment to herself to make herself stable. She didn't notice Ram was approaching her until he was standing right in front of her.
"Priya," Ram began softly, his eyes filled with joy for the moment they share today afternoon. "Can we talk?"
Priya's eyes flashed with anger. "What is there to talk about, Mr. Kapoor ? Don't keep your hopes high whatever happened in afternoon was just in heat moment it has nothing to do with our current situation.
His face dropped, his eyes downcasted in guilt.
She continued our daughter was kidnapped because you weren't there to pick her up. I can't just forget that."
"I know I made a terrible mistake," Ram said, with his voice breaking. "I will regret it for the rest of my life Priya please...But we found her, and she's safe now. Please, give me a chance to make things right."
Priya looked away, tears welling up in her eyes. "How can I trust you again, Mr. Kapoor? How do I know you won't let us down again?" all you do is keep breaking my trust giving me the lowest priority firstly when Niharika ji was there then nuts and now..whatever she just scoffed away.
"I will do everything in my power to earn back your trust," Ram said, stepping closer.
Trust me one last time Priya please baby he said with genuine tears in his eyes."I love you and Peehu more than anything in this world mere jeene ki vajah ho tum dono. He confessed Please, Priya, let's not let this tear us apart." PLEASEEE he pleaded.
Before Priya could respond, Neha appeared, gently urging them to join the celebration. "Come on, you two. This is a night for joy and love. Take a break from your worries and just be with each other." She looked at him and turned her gaze while he was still looking at her.
Peehu came and exclaimed Mumma Papa please dance na i want to see you both please mumma..
P: Peehu...
Pe: please preety please
Reluctantly, looking at her daughter Priya allowed Ram to take her hand and he lead her to the dance floor. As they swayed to the music, the tension between them began to dissolve slowly. The familiar rhythm of his heart beats and their feet moving together brought back memories of happier times of past.
