ALMOST as if i was getting controlled, i raise up my gun and fire right at the yojus belly or neck area and fire repeatedly. I hadn't even made sure i was aiming at the right area, my body just made me do it out of..maybe adrenaline.
as my shots continue to land on its skin, i furrow my brows in confusion as to why i had aimed for the belly. my confusion is short lived as the yojus belly convulses before exploding, a loud groan echoed from it.
i cant help but smirk, realizing why i had aimed for the belly. i hadnt remembered at the time but Kafka and Reno had ranted to me about how one of their shifts went once, and how Kafka kept groaning and complaining about how thin the skin on its belly was that it easily broke when carrying large.. fragments? of it.
thats when i bite my lip and remember where i was standing and what monsters could possibly be just a wall away, so i start running off.
i look around and spot a few other soldiers running around, i let out a sigh and think of how bad my legs would ache before i continue running to find more kaiju.
as i run, i remember Kafka and Reno, i hadnt even looked back after running off. mentally scolding myself, i hear a few loud footsteps and start slowing my pace before crossing a corner and coming across another yoju.
quickly, i pause my movements and stare at it, hoping it hadn't heard me. just with my luck, it doesnt around and i raise my gun. before i could shoot though, someone else manages to get the kaiju.
a scowl quickly appears on my face and i look around before spotting the weird salmon haired male i had spotted earlier before.
he gives me a sly smirk before running off, rolling my eyes as i quickly start running off again to find another kaiju to neutralize..
while i run though, i hear the sound of a wall breaking and then the terrifying sound of Reno's voice echoing, “KAFKA!!”
my legs stop as i hear his name and i quickly make my way to where the sound had come from, passing through a narrow alley, i pause as i exit it to see kafka laying on the ground infront of a wall with a massive dent in it.
a gasp escapes my lips as my fingers tremble, i easily killed one without fear earlier but now with one of my only friends lifes on the line, i feel like my gun weighs a million pounds.
as the yoju approaches Kafkas almosy dead looking body, i turn to reno and we exchange glances. then in the corner of my eye, i spot kafka starting to sit up with the yoju just about to eat him.
