Explanation; Alban's eyes, with their white irises and barely discernible pupils, often lead people to mistakenly assume he's blind. However, his vision is perfectly normal. His unique appearance extends to his long, bright white hair and pale skin, which is highly sensitive to sunlight. Despite these features, Alban is not albino.
People might also speculate that his sun sensitivity and elf-shaped ears suggest he's a vampire, but this isn't the case. The true reason behind Alban's distinctive traits lies in his ancestry. A distant great-grandfather of Alban was bitten by a vampire but never fully transformed. This partial vampiric influence subtly altered their family's genetic makeup, causing certain characteristics to reappear in later generations, including Alban. Nevertheless, Alban and his family remain purely human in their blood.
(If you've read stories by Brothers Without a Tomorrow and recognize that Alban looks similar to some of their characters, it's because he does, though not exactly. As a big fan of BWAT, I sketched Alban's appearance myself, blending elements from their works with my own style.)
