There's a fire burning deep within,
A rage so fierce, it shakes the skin.
For centuries past, and still today,
Men's hands stray where they shouldn't stay.
We walk with caution, eyes alert,
Guarding our bodies, hiding the hurt.
From whispers crude to blatant stares,
To those who touch with no one's cares.
Years and years, we've endured the same,
Society's silence, our endless shame.
They wonder why we guard our hearts,
Why trust is fragile, falling apart.
Discrimination, casual and cruel,
In every corner, each workplace, school.
Told we're less, in subtle tones,
Our worth measured by flesh and bones.
Why do they question why we retreat,
Why we find solace in our own heartbeat?
We turn to ourselves, to the strength we find,
For men often leave their kindness behind.
But not all men, we know it's true,
Some stand with us, their hearts pure and blue.
Yet even they fear, the shadow cast,
By those who cling to a cruel past.
As a man who sees with a woman's mind,
You feel our pain, you fear your kind.
You wonder if they'll treat you the same,
If kindness will vanish, replaced by shame.
This rage we carry, it's justified,
By countless stories where truth has died.
But within this fire, a spark of hope,
For change to come, for hearts to cope.
So stand with us, in this burning fight,
For respect, for love, for doing right.
In our rage, we find our power,
To change the world, hour by hour.
