I sit on a bench, my eyes half closed.
It's dark out, I'm really tired.
"Hey firey!"
"Oh, hey leafy.."
"What's wrong? You look sad.."
"It's nothing..."
"Really..?"
"It doesn't look like nothing..."
"Really, i'm fine.."
"Wanna come over to my house for dinner?"
Strange, i never really get invited over to her house.
"Uh, sure"
I stand up, my legs all shaky from tiredness.
"Woah..! You need help there, buddy?"
"Nope.. i'm fine."
I follow her to her house.
"Just a bit further..!"
I step into her house, i suddenly get an uneasy feeling..
"...something feels odd about this.."
"What's wrong?"
"Do you not wanna spend time with an old friend..?"
"N-no, it's not that-"
"Then why are you so worried?"
"...i guess it's nothing..."
"Come on, lets eat dinner!"
"Alright..."
[20 minutes later.]
Both are eating at the table.
"Hey, uh, leafy..?"
"Mhm?"
"This tastes kinda.. strange..."
"Do you not like my cooking? I made it myself.."
She frowns.
"N-no.. it's not that i don't... like.... I-itt..."
"H-hey, leafy...?"
"Mhm?"
"What did you... put in this...?"
"Oh, just the usual."
"W... wh-what's the usual...?"
"Well, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic, melatonin, butter, lemo-"
"Wait..."
"R-repeat the fifth one...?"
"Melatonin."
"Th... the sleeping drug...?!"
"..."
"Leafy.."
"..."
"Goodnight, firey."
"L-l-lea-f..."
He collapsed.
