As the raptors stopped , their leader stared at the Guardians of Tortuga'hoole as they were surrounded. Then he saw Metallica in the tight spot.
"Well, Metallica. I'm impressed." The mysterious reptilian cretin laughed.
"Malachityrannuss." Nyrachnia said, recognizing the face she probably saw in her tragic childhood.
"Now, Nyrachnia. That kind of temper led to your mother's untimely death." Malachi said, earning a growl from the white tytto scratazon. Then Malachi saw Nova in guardian armor. "I don't think I recognize him."
"His name is Novascorpio." Gylfinea said
"Sorrenn's trustworthy second-in-command." Terra added.
"One of the most fearless and popular guardians in history." Stardust said. Nyrachnia got out of the crowd and said something the guardians already knew about.
"He's also my younger brother."
"A brother?" Malachi asked. "And here i thought you were the last one."
"There are other survivors of the Arachnid Clan Massacre." Nova interjected, moving to his older sibling and right in front of her. "And no one ever talks to my sister like that. Ever!" Nyrachnia was stunned. Her estranged brother who she held a grudge against, now defending her from harm? She wasn't expecting that to happen. Truly.
"Well, to be honest, I believe that the guardians would be a fair fight." Malachi declared before throwing some insults. "Not a couple of flightless avians, Metal Fang's protégé, a venom-spitting knockoff of a dinosaur and two cast-offs from the Arachnid Clan. How unfortunate. And to think that 'Wethertrix' would've been an excellent soldier." Then he ordered the raptors to sic 'em. Wethertrix was shocked to realize that her ancestors were bred in some laboratory. She started believing that she wasn't meant to exist, but Nova calmed her down. Then suddenly an explosion took out a small squad of the raptors.
"The jig is up, Cheshiraptor!" Called out the voice of sorrenn. Wethertrix hooted low, which is her equivalent of a snicker. Then everyone looked up to see sorrenn on top of a rocky spire. Then they saw someone else with him. Shaarrd and Storrmm recognized him as their own father, Grettirr Strongheart.
"I brought along an old friend." Sorrenn explained.
"Bet you didn't expect to see me again." Grettirr said to Malachi who was the one who killed him in the first place.
"YOU!" Malachi growled before letting out a battle cry. Sorrenn and his partner charged through the mess of raptors to the Guardians.
"Fellow guardians. We must uphold our oath. To battle!" Sorrenn shouted and every guardian began what will soon be called 'the war of the beasts". Shaarrd and Storrmm tried to see their long-lost father, but then they saw a note fly towards them. They saw that it read:
'Dearest Shaarrd and Storrmm, I am sorry for not being there with you. But you must know that I'm only gonna be alive for so long, so try not to grieve. I only ask this of the both of you: keep fighting the noblest of fights. Above all else, do not lament my inevitable absence. For in my heart, I know that this will not be the end. More accurately, a new beginning. Simply put, another dawn of an era.
Sincerely, Grettirr Strongheart.'
The twins somehow realized that he wrote the note the day they had hatched, and that Malachityrannuss Dookuu was the one who killed him. They knew revenge isn't the right thing to do, so they decided not to avenge anyone. Yet.
Meanwhile, Metallica and Nyrachnia were fighting side-by-side elsewhere in the battlefield.
"So, my queen. What can scratazons from your clan do?" Metallica asked.
"Well, you might not like it." Nyrachnia answered. "But i might as well show you. Hold on tight." Metallica held on to Nyrachnia not so tight, when suddenly she shape-shifted into a scratazonian version of arachne from Greek mythology.
"This is what females from the arachnid clan do sometimes." Nyrachnia said. "Usually when they want to defend those they love." Metallica was amazed.
"This is starting to be cool by the minute." Metallica said. "But i might want to ask, hold on to WHAAAAAAAAT!?!?!" He suddenly felt like he was going extremely fast and started shaking as Nyrachnia attacked the raptors in the area.
