Cold Fear

Chapter One

I sit on my bed in our safe house as I have a smoke staring out of my bedroom window.

"Our names won't be remembered if we die like trampled flowers.... I refuse to be forgotten written off as less than worthless" I sing as a lullaby. We are back in Japan.... where the out brake started... where I almost lost my life four years ago.... where my unit almost was eliminated by infecteds.... now we are back.... in this hell.

"Boss?" My right hand commanding officer asks entering

"Chanel the anger swelling inside you" I sing more as the rest of my unit join me. I look at them.

"What is it?" I ask as they look dead inside... we all are. I think as they look at me

"We are requested to go into Tokyo" I jump out of bed in pj's an storm to the communication center slamming the door behind me. Everyone looks fearful as I enter.

"Patch me to head quarters!" I snap angrily.

"Got it ma'am" the women says a bit shaken.

"Hello headquarters?" She asks.

"Who are you requesting to see?" Someone asks.

"I want a video conference with the generals all four!" I snap.

"Right away Vice Admiral Black-Water"

"Oh an James Black-Water!" I add angrily. My father was apart of this decision I know it. Five of the six screens show faces.

"Rose it's good to see you" they stop as they notice my anger.

"Tokyo?! The population of Tokyo is too much for my unit to enter with little ammunition and resources!! How in God's name did you decide this?! It's suicide!" My father looks at me

"Your under staffed?"

"No not enough food, water, weapons or ammunition so under stalked our last air drop was four months ago!" Dad looks angry now.

"Your supposed to receive one every two months" he says sighing.

"We will send four airdrops over the next couple of days" I sigh.

"Are the new recruits ready yet? We only have ten men maybe about five more we could cover more ground an what is it we are exactly supposed to be doing in Tokyo?!" I ask growing angry again

"You need to locate survivors of the out brake an try to thin out the infecteds" I sigh.

"Fine it's been four years I doubt there's any an Tokyo isn't the best spot to start with the surrounding areas are start small than go big" I state as my unit sits down in the chairs behind me.

"We should tell her the real reason"

"She is the crowning princess of the demon world after all"

"I don't like the sounds of this" I say sighing as they discuss what ever it is. I lite a new smoke as they all look at me.

"Rose we need you to locate your older sister an brother" I drop my smoke.

"WHY DIDN'T YOU FUCKING SAY THIS BEFORE HAND?! MAKE THE AIRDROPS IN TWO DAYSS AN SEND ME MORE MEN!" I snap now livid.

"THEY ARE IDIOTS WHY DID THEY COME HERE?!" I yell looking at my father.

"They went there for a stupid reason"

"An that is?" I ask bitterly. "To kill you" I growl.

"The twins?" He nods.

"There lucky I'm loyal to family or I'd leave there ass's!" I sat pushing my silver hair out of my face as I pick my smoke up.
