Luke's POV ( Prologue )
I was running. It's decided. I was 12, and my mother was freaking me out! She was scary, trapping me in the closet because of her green-eyed fits. I was packing my bag, taking a knife with me, if anyone were to attack.
When I was near the camping site I wanted, there was a rustle in the bushes. I took out my knife- Celestial bronze because of my 'dad'- And stood there, waiting for the monster to come at me. Something groaned. 'Urg... No- Mom- Jason!' I stepped into the forest, where the thing was. 'Hell- Hello?' I asked, looking at it more closely... It wasn't an 'it'- It was a girl! 'Wake up..' I said. The girl yelled,'WHAT, YOU MANIACAL NOT-SO-MOTHER OF MINE?!! WHAT!?' I stifled a laugh,'Who in Hades are you?' She softened a bit. 'Thalia. And who, may I ask, are you?' 'Luke.'
