Chapter 7 The Burden

Eve and I got home and she crashed on the couch. I crashed next to her. Eve licked her lips and looked me. I grinned, I knew just what she wanted. I leaned in and kissed her. I backed off and she sat up, held my cheeks gently, then kissed me again. This time, it was more of an "i mean it" or an "I love you" kiss. She backed off and smirked at me. I raised an eyebrow and smiled. Eve layed her head on my lap. She stared into my eyes with her sterling ones. I hugged her and sat her up, put in a movie and layed down. Eve layed down infront of me. We watched the movie and made popcorn. We fell asleep on the couch after the movie.

A Few Hours Later...

I woke up suddenly, only to find Eve cuddling with me and slightly crying. I lifted her chin, and saw tears covering a majority of her face. I held her close and reassured her. She calmed down a little bit, only to be startled by Ashley walking in the room, since he stayed over for some reason. Ashley looked at Eve and wondering why sje was crying. I made the shush sign to Ash. He put his hands in the air like he was surrendering and walked off in the other direction.

"Why is she crying?" Ashley mouthed to me.

I raised my shoulders slightly and looked back at her face.
