CAFE MEETING | PART II

It's been 2 months since the incident, the incident with Alex. Lucid was walking to his favourite cafe, Archansighzers cafe, the place was truly beautiful. There was plants everywhere, dim, but warm lighting. The cafe was truly majestic, and when Lucid walked in, he was met with the smell of freshly steamed coffee. He went up to the counter. "Sorry could I get a-" and before he could finish speaking the employee cut him off. "A caramel macchiato?"
Lucid stared slightly, it's not like this was the first time this has happened, since he comes here so often. "Yes, a caramel macchiato, thanks Cekkles."

Lucid went to sit at his favourite table, a table near a window, that was just far away enough from everyone. Lucid wasn't one to talk with people, or be popular around them, hence the bullying. But sometimes, he just loved being alone. It was like no one could bother him at all, not even interrupt him since no one could spot him so far away. "One caramel macchiato!" An employee said aloud. "That's me thank yo-" two voices spoke at the same time, Lucid turned to the voice, him. Alex...

Lucid's jaw dropped, he was standing there frozen, just staring at Alex, it was like someone hit the pause button on a remote."Lucid..." Alex said shocked, yet put together. Lucid was already regretting coming here. "That's my order thank you." Lucid said politely but in a rush, and before Alex could say another word Lucid stormed out quickly, not wanting to be seen again. A day where he was meant to relax, turned into a day where he met his nemesis, the man that shot him

The train back was quiet, it was quite eerie to say the least. It was an early Wednesday morning, a lot of people were on the train to get to work, or maybe even coming back from working a night shift. But it shouldn't have been so quiet, it was too busy, it might have been Lucid blocking out all the noise,
But it was still quiet. The realisation finally hit Lucid, he had ran into the man that had shot him, but Alex didn't look proud, like he won a game of basketball, or football. He looked apologetic, Alex had a frown on his face. Lucid just stared forward, but that was a bad decision since the girl that was sitting in front of him got creeped out. "What are you looking at perv?" The girl asked in a snarky tone, Lucid quickly snapped out of his daze and muttered a small sorry, this time staring at the ground.

When he finally got home the first thing he did was call Natalia. The phone rang for a while, but someone finally picked up. "Hello?" A soft spoken voice could be heard. "Hey it's Lucid, could you come over?" There was some silence for a bit before Natalia spoke again. "Sure! Maybe in like an hour or two?" Lucid quickly responded. "Yeah, sounds perfect. Bye." Before Natalia could say bye, he hung up. Lucid went to his room, fell onto his bed, and just stared at the ceiling, 'what is my life?'

The doorbell rang, Lucid took his time getting to the door. "Hi Lucid." Natalia said in a cheery voice. "Hey, uh, come in." Natalia stepped into the house, taking off her shoes in a polite manner. Lucid led her to the living room, where they sat on a couch and started talking about life. "You know, I actually ran into Alex today." Natalia stared in utter disbelief. "What?! That baka?!" Natalia was about to lash out before Lucid stopped her. "It wasn't that bad."

"What do you mean it wasn't that bad?! That man shot you!"

Alex couldn't lie, for a woman in the skibidi war, she was quite scary. "He didn't look like he was going to pick on me, he had remorse in his eyes." Lucid looked at Natalia. "Plus, I ran away before he could even talk to me." Natalia glanced at Lucid. "Seriously, you shouldn't even be face to face with him." A phone suddenly rang, it was Natalia's. "Sorry this is important, I'm going to have to go." Lucid looked over before speaking. "Yeah, okay." Lucid led her to the door and they shared their goodbyes.
