Chapter 5: Surprise Lunch Date & More

We made our way around the oddities shop and went into a few other little stores in town. We grabbed a table at the diner and placed our order. I sat facing the window and Zoe facing the door. All the sudden Zoe's face turned red and she stared smiling "oh my god. They are here too" she said, I turned around to see Tom and Jessica standing at the host stand. Zoe waived them over "you can sit with us if you want" she said, which baffled me as Zoe was never the social butterfly. They agreed and sat down and asked how the rest of our night was, to which Zoe could only say "amazing". Tom asked our plans for the rest of the day and I told him "we are going to grill some steaks at home and enjoy some drinks since we had a hot tub. Tom mentioned how nice that sounded and said they didn't have any real plans the rest of the day. "You should come have dinner with us" Zoe said, almost insisting on it. "We'd love to" Jessica said with a smirk. She was sitting next to Zoe and I could tell her hand was under her dress by the squirming.

We finished lunch and gave them the address to the cabin. "See you guys at 6" used as we got into the car. I smirked at Zoe "does someone have a crush?" I said laughingly to which she bit her lip and smiled.

Tom and Jessica arrived right at 6pm, bringing in more food and alcohol along with a duffle bag Tom dropped by the front door. "What's in the bag?" I asked. "Board games" Jessica quickly replied.

We made and ate dinner. Everyone got into their swim suits and hit the hot tub. Once out we were sitting around talking. "Care for another drink?" Tom asked as he got up,
"I'm not driving" I jokingly replied. As we sat and drank I noticed my vision getting blurry, had I really drank that much? I went to stand and wobbled back down to the couch. "Are you okay?" Zoe asked. "Yeah I just drank too much too quickly I guess" I told her trying to focus.

"Here this will help him" Jessica said leaning in with what looked like a shot "what's that" I tried to ask but the words cane out murmured and it all went black.
