My eyes fly open as I shot up in bed. I look around the unknown room confused and a bit disoriented. "Where...am I?" I hear the door click and look towards it.

Light floods the room from the outside, allowing me to see it better. It looked like I was in the hospital. In comes a nurse with a clipboard in hand.

"Oh, you're up dear."

"...Y-Yeah..."

"How are you feeling? You got hit pretty hard."

Right, the train. Wow, I survived that? Any normal person would be totally happy but...I just feel more miserable.

"I'm surprised that train didn't kill me."

The nurse stopped and tilted her head towards me. "Train? That impact must've scrambled your brain, hon. You were hit by a car."

"..."

Huh?!

"You're...kidding right?" I question the woman.

"No, you were hit by a car and only walked away with a few scratches, thanks to that bystander saving you."

Bystander?

"You mean that guy?"

"Guy? Uh, no, the boy looked to be only a year or so older than you, sweetie."

Boy? I'm pretty sure that guy was a grown man.

"..." I get up and head towards the bathroom. I turn the lights on to only be shocked by the person in the mirror. It was me...but way younger. "What...the actual...hell?"

That...pale ghost in the mirror...is that me?

is that me?

"I'm...young again?"

"? Miss Sato?"

"What day is it?"

"Hm? Oh, you've been only out for a few days."

"Sorry, but that's not what I asked."

"R-Right, it's July 4th, 2005. You were brought in on the 1st."

2005? But...its July 4th, 2017, today. Wait, did I die and I'm having flashbacks of my life? Did that train actually kill me?!

"Miss Sato? Are you still feeling unwell?"

July 4th, 2005...I-I can't believe it... Wait! If that's the case! "I have to go, thank you for your help." I leave the bathroom and pass the nurse.

"W-Wait-"

"Charge the bill to Hoshi, thanks." I quickly leave the hospital and walk the streets.

~~~~Time Skip~~~~
Arriving at my old home, I open the door with the key in my pocket. I step inside the dark home and listen in on the silence.
"...I remember now, I live alone... Best childhood memories." I sarcastically add that last part.
