Caroline's night was restless.

She tossed and turned, her mind unable to escape the images that haunted her dreams.

,she found herself standing in the middle of a dark, eerie street. The streetlights flickered, casting long, sinister shadows. In the distance .

" hello ? " she whispered , she heard some giggles , like a child's laughter

she turned to be met by the missing children, including Georgie.

"Georgie!" Caroline shouted, running toward the little boy in the yellow raincoat.

Georgie turned, his face pale and eyes wide with fear. He ran to Caroline and hugged her tightly. "I don't want to die, Caroline! I don't want to die! The clown, the clown!" he cried, trembling.

"Georgie, stop!" Caroline tried to calm him down, but he was inconsolable." What happened ?"

"Join me, liney " Georgie whispered, his voice taking on an eerie tone. "And You can float too."

He started laughing, a chilling sound that echoed in the darkness. "You can float too," he repeated, his voice growing deeper and angrier with each word shaking his head like a maniac . "You can float too!"

Caroline's heart pounded as she saw some sort of figure  lurking in the background, his eyes gleaming with malevolence.

The clown was holding balloons , red ones to be exact.

A clown's presence loomed larger and larger until it seemed to consume everything.

With a jolt, Caroline woke up, drenched in sweat and shivering. She quietly slipped out of bed and crept downstairs.

Her brother, Finney, was already up, watching TV by the room near to the kitchen , He noticed her pale face and trembling hands.

"What's wrong?" Finney asked, concern etched on his face. "Another dream?"

Caroline nodded, her eyes pleading with him to stay quiet. Their father, sitting in his usual spot with a bottle in hand, looked over, his gaze cold and distant. "What dreams?" he slurred.

"Nothing, Daddy," Caroline replied, trying to sound calm.

"Stand up," their father commanded, his voice laced with anger.

Caroline stood, her heart racing. Without warning, he struck her with his belt. "You're not your mother! You don't have dreams"

"I know!" Caroline screamed, tears streaming down her face.

Her father raised his hand to hit her again, but she grabbed his bottle of alcohol. "Hit me again, and I'll drop it," she threatened.

"You wouldn't dare!" he sneered.

With defiance in her eyes, Caroline let the bottle fall to the ground, shattering into pieces. Enraged, her father hit her again, but she moved away from him.

"Your dreams are just dreams!" he shouted.

"Okay!" Caroline cried.

"Say it!" he demanded.

"My dreams are just dreams!" she sobbed.

"Say it again!" he roared.

"My dreams are just dreams!"Caroline repeated, her voice breaking.

Caroline stumbled to her brother and collapsed onto his shoulder, tears flowing freely. Finney wrapped his arms around her, glaring at the tv  with a fury that burned deep within him. He held Caroline tightly, comforting her as she cried, both siblings bound together by the pain inflicted upon them.
