The next day, I arrived at 'Delicious T' as Anonymous had told me to. I had been told not to keep them waiting but I got there before anonymous. That actually pissed me off but I had to wait. I didn't know if this anonymous was a male or female; I had no idea what to expect. I sat down and texted anonymous that I was already seated.

"I'm on my way. Wait a little bit"

After about five minutes, a woman walked up to me and sat down on the seat opposite. I looked up and was bewildered.

"You???"

"Surprise, Surprise!! Helen"

I was unable to speak for some seconds because of how shocked I was. Anonymous was none other than Bernard's mistress, Amanda. She was the one who revealed the secret to me and had been the one texting me.
She kept smiling at me and it made me so mad. What exactly was she smiling for? What was funny about the situation? She destroyed my family and had the nerves to smile foolishly.

"So you are the one that has been sending me those messages?"

"Yes. Haha. You should be grateful to me Helen. I mean, if it weren't for me, you wouldn't have known Bernard's true colors."

"Are you being serious right now? Oh God..."

"Look Helen. I know how you're feeling. But I love Bernard and he loves me too. We're even expecting a child together. It took you four years to become pregnant, but took me just few months"

"You must be stupid Amanda. You're not even ashamed of yourself "

"Hahahaha. Ashamed? Me? Nahh. I can't wait to marry Bernard. It's not my fault that he wasn't faithful to you. He did everything on his own. Don't act like he's a child..."

I was so mad that we started exchanging words. I poured the coffee I had ordered on her and that made me happy even though I wasn't satisfied. I put her immediately to her place and she couldn't say anything. I looked at her wrist and saw that she was putting on the exact same bracelet I had. Bernard had gifted me a customized bracelet on our 3rd anniversary, and she was putting on the exact same type. I realized that Bernard had actually lost his mind. I was fed up of the whole situation, cause people started staring at us as we argued loudly. I didn't want to attract more attention so we wouldn't be sent out. She wasn't worth my precious time so I got up and left angrily. I was getting a divorce anyways, so she could keep him for all I cared.

Bernard had been hiding the situation from his family.
My in-laws were very nice people. They loved me so much and treated me like their own daughter right from the very first day I was introduced to them. I knew this divorce was going to change a lot of things but I couldn't help but carry on with it. I knew I would miss them and their constant support; how they checked up on me and made me comfortable. He had a wonderful family and that, I was grateful for.
