TIMESKIPS IN THE CHAPTER
-Erza POV-
"What am I not going to like Gray?" Natsu asked seemingly clueless to the situation at hand.
I took in the surroundings, requiping into my usual armour, noticing Gray pale, no Lucy, and Wendy clutching onto Lucy's Keys. Shit. Natsu apparently noticed at the same time.
"I said. What am I not going to like?" Natsu asked, now angry, grabbing Gray by the forearms and bringing them so that they are face to face. Gray looked somewhat afraid, while Wendy, Carla and Happy, seemed to back away from Natsu and towards me.
"NOCK IT OFF BOTH OF YOU!" I yell this situation not getting anywhere. The boys split apart not wanting to feel my wrath. But Natsu was still mad Gray still seemed on edge.
"Wendy what happened here?" I ask knowing Natsu will not attack the youngest slayer.
"Lucy was taken by the traffickers. They seem to know a teleportation magic, well one of them that is. We tried to stop them but they escaped and threw Lucy's keys at me..... Apparently they already have a buyer for her." Wendy said cautiously looking between me and Natsu.
Natsu just punched the floor, fists aflame. I think he was just more pissed at himself more than anything for not being there.
"Natsu it's alright, she'll be okay. We'll get Lucy back." I said trying to calm the now aflame Natsu, it was not working.
-Natsu POV-
THEY LOST LUCY! HOW COULD THEY! I did the only thing I could to not hurt Wendy at this point in time and punched the ground while setting myself on fire. I have to find her. I decided to try to find were the three dudes came from. Sniffing their air I could tell they came from a few streets over at least and started running.
It was about midnight when I lost the trail around an alleyway on the south side of town. If we ran any further we would be in the farm lands.
"Natsu, we should go to bed and pick up here first thing in the morning." Gray stated.
"I agree, we will get nothing done if we are tired. Let's go back to the hotel and sleep. Get up at sunrise and search." Erza said.
I knew she was right so I just followed behind them. Also not wanting to get beat up by Erza.
But, all I could think about is Lucy. I wanted to make sure she was safe. Hell she could be-- nope not going there. What if the buyer was already there last night. Wait, they'd live in town if he did get there today, last night?... whatever. We probably have a day time to find her. I mean that's at the minimum right.
-Wendy POV-
It was now noon the next day and we have been searching for hours on end. We scoured the whole south half the the city and found nothing. There was no smell traces of Lucy were we ended last night and if we continued in the same direction as last night we would be out in the fields.
"HEY KID! Watch were your going." A man walking out of the inn yelled at me.
"I'm sorry sir I seem to be a bit distracted." I said. He smelt funny though. Not funny like bad but funny like he had been somewhere very old and made of stone. The man was tall and skinny, he had white long hair in a style that resembled a mullet, but was gelled back and would be appealing to someone his age. The man looked to be in his 40-50's. He wore a button up collard shirt with a nice pair of jeans.
I watched as he walked away he had a cart behind his horse oddly empty. "Excuse me sir but why do you have a cart?" This town isn't known for making anything large." I asked I don't know why.
"I'm just heading to pick up some food to sell from one of the farms south of town." He said, but seemed nervous that I asked him that.
"Well my name is Wendy. Would you need any help picking up the food."
"James Mulligan. And no. I don't think I do. Have a nice day kid." He said as he turned his horse and rode off.
"You too." I said.
After a while of walking I still couldn't get that smell out of my nose. I smelt it before. But were. My thoughts traveled back to last night, there was weird stones on the ground that looked like they got unlogged from somewhere. It came from were 2 of the three dudes came from to ambush Lucy.... WAIT THE SMELL.
"Wendy you alright?" Natsu asked. Everyone stopping a little ahead of me. Apparently I stopped first.
"Yeah but we need to find a library." Was all I could say before finding the last one we saw about a 10 minute walk away from here.
