"Hello Maggie it's wonderful to see you again please come in"
"Howard I believe Axel should be coming down soon he's getting Joseph ready upstairs "

"Thank you for having us Helen now how old is Joseph"
"Joseph's 5 my angel just turned last week"
"Oh that's just perfect,Elise introduce yourself love"

A small tiny little girl came from behind her father still holding on to his hand. She had big brown eyes olive colored skin and two braids one on each side.
"Hello I'm Elise" she said waving at the middle aged woman that was infront of her

"Shes adorable Maggie she's just like you. I'm assuming she's a daddy's girl"

"Oh yes she's like gum that's stuck on Howards shoe"

"That's how my Joseph is with me,he barely talks to Axel. He's a shy boy doesn't talk much but hopefully they'll mixe will"

"Mommy I'm ready!"

A little boy came running down the stairs but when he saw that he wasn't alone he hid behind his mother.

"Joseph say hello to our guest"
The little boy peaked out,he had brown hair pale skin and big glasses that made his eyes look bigger. He noticed the girl next to her father and immediately hid behind his mother again

"Hey I'm Elise whats your name?" The little girl asked even though she already knew it

"Joseph" the boy poked his head out
"I like your glasses Joseph"
"I like your braids" the tiny girl smiled and pulled out a small satchel from her pocket.The boy was intrigued and got closer to see what was inside of the bag and to his surprise it was almonds.

"Why do you have almonds?"
"Did you know that if you feed a crow every single day at the same time they start to trust you, they find a way to pay you back for all the times you fed them. And the way they do it is that they bring you gifts."

"Gifts what kind of gifts"
"It's nothing over the top it could start off with a rock maybe even a flower,oh I heard if you get lucky they bring you lost items. Like pencils or soda tops."
"Really do you think they can bring back my pocket watch that I lost?"
"I'm not sure we can try they are very smart birds you know sometimes crows will remember your face for years"

The little boy turns to his mother with hope in his eyes.
"Oh mom can we go outside please I promise I won't get my clothes dirty"
"Alright you two go have some fun"

"Elise remember we are a guest act like a lady"
"Yes mother"

The boy grabbed Elise's hand and took her to their back yard.

"Okay this is going to take a while they need to trust you first.so every day around this time you need to come out and leave food in this exact spot"

"Okay got it,maybe you can come over and help you know so the crow can recognize the both of us" Joseph was finally happy that he had met a friend it didn't matter to him if she was a girl what mattered was that he had someone to talk with.

They spread some almonds out on the porch and waited for some friends to come. They're both swinging on the swings that Joseph's father had just bought him for his birthday.

"So what's your favorite color" asked the boy
"I like green"
"Green? But that's a boy color"
"So? I can do everything a boy can do why can't a like a certain color"
"Ya I guess your right"
"What about you what's your favorite color"
"I like blue but not the dark blue I like sky blue"
Both kids looked up at the sky Elise knew what he was talking about because she also loved the color of the sky she can watch it for hours without getting bored.
