The train hissed and clanked as it stopped at the busy station. The smell of coal mixed with the fresh morning air, and church bells rang in the distance. A big man stepped onto the platform.

He was an alpha, with broad shoulders and strong arms, carrying his luggage easily. "Hmmm..." He looked around, clearly lost, his brow furrowing and his eyes darting from sign to sign.

The brute spotted a young show-polishing boy by the platform. "Oi, I'm looking for Loguetown University. Can you help me?"

The boy glanced at the man with green hair, wiped his hands on his pants, and stood up eagerly. "Yes, sir! I can show you."

The man nodded, grateful. "Lead the way, then."

The boy led him out of the station and into the busy streets, pointing out landmarks. They turned a corner, and the university came into view with its grand stone buildings and tall spires.

"Here we are," the boy said.

The guy gave the boy some coins. "Thanks. You've been a big help."

The boy smiled and nodded. "Anytime, sir!"

The alpha walked through the university's grand doors. A sign pointing to 'Registration' led him down a hallway. He approached a heavy wooden door with frosted glass panes.

Inside, the smell hit him right away-a sharp contrast to the old books and polished wood of the university. It was the distinct, scent of another alpha. His eyes went to the desk where a woman with striking blue eyes and glasses sat. She looked up and smiled.

"Welcome to Loguetown University," she said smoothly. "I'm Kalifa, and I'll help you with your registration."

"I have my approval letter," he said, handing over his documents.

"Let's see," she murmured, scanning the papers. "Your name is Zoro Roronoa, correct?"

"Yeah," he replied, watching her closely.

She made some notes. "You'll be in Dormitory B, room 214. Your roommate is a beta." She gave him a small brass key.

Zoro took the key. "Thanks." She met his gaze. "I hope you find your time here enlightening."

Zoro left the office, his mind racing. The scent of another alpha, especially one like Kalifa, was the last thing he had expected. Alphas were rare, but not as rare as omegas.

He found the dormitory, a stately old building with ivy on the walls. He opened the heavy wooden door and walked down the hall until he found room 214. The key turned smoothly, and he stepped inside.

Zoro's POV

The room was tidy, with two beds on opposite sides. I set down my luggage and began unpacking, putting my clothes in the wardrobe and my books on the desk.

I glanced at my roommate's side. Above his bed hung a small crucifix. I opened his closet. Rows of neatly hung shirts and trousers were meticulously ironed, a contrast to my own messy style.

I slid open his desk drawers next. Inside, I found a rosary, a journal, and a small wooden box with intricate religious carvings. I reached for the box, feeling its smooth surface. Slowly, I lifted the lid, but the dorm room door swung open with a loud creak before I could see inside.

I turned sharply, caught in the act, and there he was. He stood in the doorway, his blonde hair covering one eye, but the other eye, an ocean blue, locked onto mine. He wore a simple black cassock with a white clerical collar.

"Enjohying yourself?" he asked, with a heavy French accent.

I set the box back. "Just getting to know my new roommate."

He stepped into the room, closing the door behind him. "Sanji," he said, extending a hand.

"Zoro," I replied, shaking his hand. The brief contact sent an unexpected jolt through us. He backed away, almost stumbling.

His eyes flicked to the wooden box and then back to me. "Sorry," I said, trying to be sincere. He swallowed hard and took another step back.

"Are you okay?" I asked. "You look like you've seen a ghost."

He didn't answer immediately. Instead, his eyes flicked to the box again. I set it down gently. "Didn't mean to pry," I repeated.

He nodded, but still looked tense. "Eet's fine," he said, though his eyes told a different story. "Juhst... pleeze dohn't touch zat box again."

"Got it," I replied. He nodded and turned his back to me. "So, are you a theology student or something?" I asked, noting the religious items.

He looked over his shoulder with a faint smile. "Oui, somesing like zat."

We unpacked in silence after that. But my mind kept drifting back to the unexpected spark when we shook hands. There was something about this blonde that didn't add up.

As the evening approached, I sat on my bed, flipping through a book, while he busied himself in the small kitchenette. I decided to explore the campus. I grabbed my coat and headed for the door. "I'm going out for a bit. Need anything?"

He just shook his head.

Zoro left the room, the door closing softly behind him. As his footsteps faded, Sanji let out a shaky breath. "Hhh-ahh, hh-ahh..." The presence of an alpha like Zoro was overwhelming.

Rushing to his drawer, he opened out the wooden box with his suppressant pills. With trembling hands, he swallowed a pill. It was a temporary solution, but it would have to do.

Zoro's intense presence had stirred something deep within him. What if he figured it out? What if he sensed that I was an omega? The consequences would be catastrophic. He thought.

The sound of footsteps in the hallway made him freeze, his heart leaping into his throat. Quickly, he straightened up, wiping the sweat from his face and trying to smooth his hair. The door opened, and Zoro walked back in.

"Place looks lively at night," The alpha remarked, tossing his coat onto his bed.

"Oui," Sanji replied, forcing a smile.

As the night wore on, they both eventually settled into their beds. Sanji lay there, staring up at the ceiling, his mind still racing. He turned on his side, pulling the covers up to his chin. He took a deep breath, strategizing for the days to come.

Little did he know that Zoro's curiosity had been piqued, and the alpha was already on the trail to uncovering the truth.
