Lee Y/n, 16, stood nervously in her elegant gown, clutching her award for Best New Artist. As she made her way offstage, she collided with a tall, handsome young man.
"Oh, I'm so sorry!" Y/n exclaimed, as the stranger caught her elbow to steady her.
"No need to apologize, I'm the one who should be sorry," he said with a warm smile. "I'm Kim Namjoon, by the way."
Y/n's eyes widened as she recognized the name. "The leader of BTS? I can't believe it!"
Namjoon chuckled. "The one and only. And you are...?"
"Lee Y/n, the lucky winner of this award," she replied, holding up her trophy.
As they exchanged a few more words, Y/n felt an inexplicable connection to this kind and humble idol. Little did she know that their lives would intertwine in ways she never imagined.
As they parted ways, Y/n couldn't shake off the feeling that she had just met someone special. She couldn't believe that she had almost missed meeting Namjoon, her idol, due to her own clumsiness.
Over the next few years, Y/n's career soared, but she never forgot the brief encounter with Namjoon. She would often find herself thinking about him, wondering what he was up to, and whether their paths would cross again.
Meanwhile, Namjoon was working tirelessly to propel BTS to stardom. He would often think about the young idol he had met at the award show, wondering if she was doing well, and if their friendship could have been something more.
In 2015, fate brought them together again, this time at a music festival. Y/n was performing on stage when she spotted Namjoon in the audience, his eyes fixed on her with a warm smile. Her heart skipped a beat as she realized that the connection they had felt two years ago was still very much alive.
As soon as Y/n's performance ended, she rushed offstage to find Namjoon waiting for her, his arms wide open. They embraced warmly, exchanging congratulations and praise for each other's success.
"I can't believe how far you've come, Y/n!" Namjoon exclaimed. "You're shining brighter than ever!"
Y/n blushed, feeling a flutter in her chest. "Thanks to you, Namjoon. Your encouragement means everything to me."
As they caught up, Y/n realized that her feelings for Namjoon had only grown stronger. She couldn't deny the chemistry between them, and she sensed that he felt it too.
"Hey, Namjoon?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper. "Can I ask you something?"
"Anything, Y/n," he replied, his eyes locked on hers.
"Why did you promise to work hard and become a top idol back in 2013?" she asked, her curiosity getting the better of her.
Namjoon's smile faltered for a moment, and he looked away, his eyes clouding over. "I wanted to prove myself, not just for me, but for someone special. Someone I wanted to make proud."
Y/n's heart skipped a beat. She knew exactly who that someone was.
Y/n's heart raced as she realized she was the "someone special" Namjoon had been working hard for. She felt a surge of emotions, her mind reeling with the implications.
"Namjoon," she said softly, her voice barely audible. "I think I know who that someone is."
He turned back to her, his eyes searching hers. "Do you?"
Y/n nodded, her heart pounding in her chest. "It's me, isn't it? You've been working hard for me, to make me proud."
Namjoon's face softened, his eyes filling with warmth. "Y/n, from the moment I met you, I knew you were special. I wanted to be someone worthy of your admiration, your respect... and your love."
