Zeyna and Keyton. Zey and Key. The perfect couple is soon to live happily ever after. While reading the wedding invitation I got from my best friend, Key, I wondered, Will I ever get married?

As a knock on the door woke me, I realized it was a dream. Although it seemed so real. I quickly dressed in my t-shirt that looks like a suit, and a simple pair of ripped jeans. I walked towards the opening door and got bombarded by my best friends from high school, Keyton and Zeyna, screaming at me like they were my parents.

"Arlington James Sullivan, How dare you not open the door for us?"

I laughed as I gave hugs and mumbled "Maybe I will just lock the door next time".

Zeyna started to tease me as she did in high school, "Hey, that's no way to act around your Muslim friends."

"You know I am Muslim too, Zey, right?"

"How can she forget," Keyton remarked. "All three of us went to the same Muslim high school."

"̈Right," I say "So anyway, what are you doing here? It's 5 am"

"Well, Ms. Zeyna Mohammad is about to become Mrs. Keyton Rahman," Zeyna replied excitedly, showing me her new engagement ring.
"I was wondering if you would be my best man?" Keyton asked.

"Well of course, do you have any ideas about a date? When do you get to pick a dress, Zey?" I asked.

"I will go for a dress tomorrow, and we are getting married on Saturday" Zeyna replied.

"Saturday! But it's only Tuesday. How did you get everything booked in time?" I shrieked.

"Well, we got engaged yesterday morning, on our date. We planned out the venue when we had been dating for a year. We both agreed I would book everything when I bought the ring, so the wedding wouldn't be too long after we got engaged. I booked everything just after the new year. Here AJ, we mailed all the invitations last Wednesday. We're having it at the park, and a party after." Keyton Informs me.

"Everything is booked? Even such a large traditional cake?" I asked

"Yes everything is booked," they replied in unison as they left.

Flash forward to Saturday, December 6th, the Wedding day. Key and I were standing to the left of the Imam, and Zayna's family was to his right. As the music started family members of all ages rose to greet the bride. Zeyna looked beautiful. I started crying and had to turn away. I get emotional. When the wedding officially started everyone sat down. The Imam began the ceremony and I handed him the rings. The Imam gave his wedding speech. Then Zeyna and Keyton gave their vows Like Key and Zey wanted there was the exchange of rings, a first kiss as a married couple, and Mr. and Mrs. Keyton Marshal Rahman walked down the aisle into the sunset.

At the party, we all started talking and I congratulated the newlyweds. Keyton excused himself for a call from the cake caterer. When Key returned, he began to cry because he wanted everything to be perfect.

"Key, What's going on?" I ask immediately, pulling him away from Zeyna.

¨The... The... The cake." Keyton says between tears. "The guy driving the cake in the truck said he accidentally pressed the button for the back hatch instead of his hazards to signal him back up because of an accident. He realized before he ran over it but he was by himself and doesn't know if he can lift it back in the truck to get it here in time. Today is ruined" Keyton says quickly as he starts crying again. All of a sudden the DJ announces

"Party pooper, it sounds like the wedding cake is in the middle of the highway. Uh Oh, how sad." After I gave the DJ a backhand to the face, I started chasing after Keyton, who was running full force out of the venue. I stopped him at the door, asked him for directions, and left to help get the large cake off the road. After the cake was removed from the road, without a single molecule touched or contaminated, I made a path for the driver. When we get back to the venue we meet up with Keyton, Zeyna, and the rest of the crew. We helped to carry the cake to the party, and everyone cheered. What a wedding story to tell the kiddos. By the way, did I mention my sister caught the bouquet?
