"What's the matter?", he asked the girl in her red high heels making me gulp hard at his penetrating gaze that was fixed at me.
Not being able to take the daggers thrown my way, I immediately hid myself behind the woman's back.
'I didn't make a mistake coming here right?'
"She wanted to meet senior Kim. But sir was going out with Miss Emma. So he asked me to take her to you, sir.", she explained.
I peeked from behind as he sharply inhaled before gesturing her to leave.
My body got statued at its place as the woman covering me finally left.
Leaving me alone.
Alone, with this terrifying man.
"Speak."
His voice was so dead serious that it made me shiver to my spine.
Prying my gaze away from his penetrating one, I took in a deep breath, mustering up all of my courage.
It's fine. I can do this.
"I.... I'm here to talk about your half sister.... Ana."
His expressions immediately changed hearing my words. So I knew that I had to quickly put my point forward.
"She's been missing for the last few days. Her mom suspects that it could be....", I hesitated at first, but closing my eyes I finally said the words.
"The Kims."
"Who let you inside?!", he suddenly got up from his place making me startle open my eyes. I got scared to my core watching how ferocious he looked.
"You peasants plan to act pathetically in front of my father to gain his sympathy and get shares in the property? Not happening."
"She never wanted any property! We just want her back! Or else whether it's you or your elder brother, we won't let you get away with it!!!"
Taking large steps in my direction, he suddenly held me by my neck , pushing me over the wall. Something that happened in moments, and without me even realizing my feet were not on the floor anymore.
"You dared raise your voice in front of me?! I'll kill you right here!!!"
The man was strangling me but I couldn't control my anger anymore. The pain in my neck couldn't compare to the pain in my heart.
"Kill me like you killed Ana?! Just give her back to us!!!"
"I'll fcking shred you to pieces if you said a word more!", he ferociously warned.
