The moon hung low in the sky, casting a silver glow over the pack’s territory. The soft rustling of leaves in the gentle breeze was the only sound, creating an almost ethereal atmosphere. Seokjin, sat by the edge of the lake, staring at the shimmering reflection of the night sky. His thoughts were consumed by Taehyung.

Taehyung was different from the others—always distant, guarded, and cautious around alphas. It was clear that he carried burdens from his past, shadows that made him wary. Seokjin wanted to understand, to help him, but Taehyung's walls were high and fortified.
As he sat there in a distant he saw Taehyung sitting alone by a fallen tree. His shoulders were hunched, and his gaze was lost in the distance. Seokjin approached slowly, making sure his presence was known so as not to startle the omega.

“Taehyung,” Seokjin called softly.

Taehyung turned, his eyes wide with a mixture of surprise and apprehension. “Alpha Seokjin,” he acknowledged with a slight nod.

Seokjin sat down beside him, leaving enough space to ensure Taehyung felt comfortable. “It’s a beautiful night, isn’t it?”

Taehyung nodded, his eyes returning to the horizon. Silence stretched between them, but it wasn’t uncomfortable. It was the kind of silence that spoke volumes.

After a while, Seokjin broke the silence. “I’ve noticed you keep to yourself a lot.”

Taehyung’s fingers traced patterns in the dirt. “I’m fine,” he said, though his voice lacked conviction.

“You don’t have to pretend with me,” Seokjin said gently. “I know there’s more to your story. I want to understand, Taehyung. I want to help if I can.”

Taehyung’s eyes flickered with pain and hesitation. He took a deep breath, as if gathering courage. “It’s not easy for me to talk about.”

“You don’t have to if you’re not ready,” Seokjin assured him. “But know that I’m here to listen, whenever you are.”

For a long moment, Taehyung remained silent, his eyes reflecting a distant torment. Finally, he spoke, his voice barely above a whisper. “I was part of another pack before this. The alpha there...he was cruel. He saw omegas as possessions, not individuals.”

Seokjin felt a surge of anger on Taehyung’s behalf but kept his expression neutral, letting the omega continue.

“There was no kindness, no compassion. Just control and fear,” Taehyung continued, his voice trembling. “I was... I was treated like I was worthless, only good for... for one thing.”

Seokjin’s heart ached at the pain in Taehyung’s voice. He reached out, his hand hovering over Taehyung’s shoulder before gently resting on it. “I’m so sorry, Taehyung. No one should have to go through that.”

Taehyung flinched at the touch but didn’t pull away. “It’s hard to trust alphas after that. Hard to believe that not all of them are like him.”

Seokjin nodded, understanding dawning on him. “I can’t change what happened, but I promise you, our pack is different. I’m different. You deserve to feel safe and respected.”

Tears welled up in Taehyung’s eyes, and he hastily wiped them away. “Thank you, Seokjin. It means a lot to hear that.”

Seokjin gave him a small, reassuring smile. “You don’t have to face your past alone. We’re all here for you.”

For the first time since joining the pack, Taehyung felt a glimmer of hope. It wouldn’t be easy to overcome his traumas, but with Seokjin’s support and the pack’s acceptance, he knew he had a chance to heal.

As the night deepened, Taehyung and Seokjin sat side by side, the silence between them now filled with understanding and a shared promise of better days ahead.
