Friends With Benefits

This is the longest one shot I have ever written and is most definitely the longest I will ever write. About 32,000 words! I worked really hard on it so I hope you enjoy it! Please let me know what you think.

Summary: Inuyasha learns about a thing called 'friends with benefits.' He is excited when he finds out that Kagome is sexually attracted to him. He figures since there is no way she could possibly be in love with a hanyou such as himself, he asks her to be his friend with benefits. Kagome, not believing Inuyasha could possibly love her in return, readily agrees. If she can't have his heart, she could at least be happy with his body. Will either of them admit their true feelings in order to be something more than just sex?

"Hey, Kagome."

Kagome stopped her studying for the tenth time since Inuyasha has been in her room this evening. She grit her teeth and took a calming breath in before responding.

"Yes, Inuyasha? What is it now?"

"I was just wondering, what does friends.. with.. benefits mean?" He said it slow as he tried to remember what he had overheard.

Kagome dropped her pencil onto her desk and spun around in her chair to stare wide-eyed at the ignorant hanyou. She could feel her entire body flush crimson and at the moment she wishes a hole would just open up and take her away right then and there. She closes her eyes, counts to ten in her head to calm her frazzled nerves and than reopens her eyes to respond.

"Wh-where did y-you hear about th-that?" Apparently she didn't calm down enough, especially now that she is looking into his curious and seemingly innocent golden eyes.

Inuyasha shrugged his shoulders and scratched his head in thought. "I overheard one of your weird friends talk 'bout it. So, what is it?"

Kagome spun her chair back around to face her desk again and put her face in her hands. "It doesn't matter, Inuyasha. Just.. pretend you never heard that, okay?" She could hear him get off the bed and come closer, causing her heart to speed up. 'Get it together, girl! It's not like he's asking you to be friends with benefits!' Her heart rate sped up to dangerous levels after that thought. 'Great. Now I'm thinking about that.'

Inuyasha leaned over Kagome's shoulder and discreetly sniffed. Now his confusion skyrocketed. She smelled of embarrassment, nervousness, and arousal.

'What the hell?' He spun her chair around to be face to face with the weird human girl. He crouches down so his golden eyes are eye level with her brown ones. "What the hell is it!? You're being weirder then normal."

Kagome's eyes widened, "It's uh..." Her face turns even more red and she closes her eyes and shakes her head. "Wh-why does it matter?"

"Because you're acting strange! You and I are friends, so what does it mean to be friends with benefits!?"

Kagome's anger rises and she welcomes it. If she is angry, she is less embarrassed. She looks him right in the eyes and yells back, "it's two friends who have sex for fun and no commitments! There, happy!?"

Now it is Inuyasha's turn to rival that of a tomato. "Uh.. What?"

Kagome stood up from her chair, shoved him out of the way, and started pacing around her room, avoiding looking at his face. "Two people who are friends, have sex and do whatever they want together but they aren't boyfriend and girlfriend or whatever the hell you call it in the Feudal Era." Kagome stopped pacing to look at his dumbfounded expression.
