Team Sonic are resting after their victory against Nazo. Shadow had already left so it was just Sonic, Tails and Knuckles for the time being. Sonic was watching over the sunset but out of the corner of his eye he noticed Dr Eggman pick something up
Sonic (huh? Eggman? What's he doing here?)
He runs over to Eggman to find out what he's up to. As for Eggman he's holding a golden ring and inspecting it
Sonic: hey what's up doc? And more importantly what are you doing here?
Eggman: *turns around with his hands behind his back* Sonic? Why I didn't see you there. After witnessing a huge explosion on this island I came to inspect what it was. I concluded it must've been from your fight with that cyan Hedgehog
Sonic: suuuuuure. Either that or your just here to cause trouble. Which in any case I'm leaning more towards option 2 like always. And FYI his name was Nazo. Hey are you hiding something behind your back?
Dr Eggman *slips ring in his back pocket* why nothing as you can see hedgehog. Why would I be holding something if my hands are empty? You know me I do this stance all the time
Sonic: *eyeroll* whatever in any case if your here to cause trouble *battle stance* I'm ready
Eggman: of course not. I'll be making my leave now. I'll try killing you another time *leaves on his Eggmobile* (phew! That was close)
Sometime after Sonic Frontiers
In Eggman's lair Orbot and Cubot are in the labs. They see a door open and Eggman returns
Orbot: ah doctor. How did it go?
Eggman: I may have lost but it was worth it. Look at this *shows a strand of Sonic's fur and a strand of Shadow's fur*
Cubot: so did ya finally kill Sonic?
Eggman: no you bolt brain! But I did take a piece of his and Shadow's fur during our battle. With this and both hedgehogs battle data I will have a new being of destruction at my command
Orbot: didn't you say that about that ring you found on Angel Island?
Cubot: uhh a ring was suppose to stop Sonic?
Eggman: yes I did test him out but he wouldn't cooperate. So he's having quite the slumber as we speak
He then goes and begins his new experiment. Days pass and Eggman continues to work. While he does so Nazo wakes up and remembers the events of his defeat. He then breaks out and walks in on Eggman while sporting a new appearance

Nazo: I see your rather busy doctor
Eggman: huh? Nazo? I see you your finally awake from your slumber. Are you ready to cooperate or shall I send you back inside your pod
Nazo: *lies* yes yes sure whatever just show me what your doing
Eggman: gladly
Eggman then presses a button and the pod opens up
Eggman: yes! Yes! Rise my creation! Rise Seelkadoom!
Just as he says that, a hedgehog with black fur, Shadow's spikes, and Sonic's shoes but grey steps out from the pod

Seelkadoom: well, here I am
Eggman: your more perfect than I imagined Seelkadoom. Oh and this is Nazo your new co worker
Nazo: it's nice to meet another hedgehog who isn't a total irritation
Seelkadoom: thanks. So doc what's next?
Eggman: well now that I have you both in my grasp we can conquer the world together. But first I will leave the both of you to get to know each other for now while I go back to the drawing board
He then leaves both hedgehogs alone
Seelkadoom: that was anticlimactic. I get out of that pod with DNA of Sonic and Shadow, their battle data and I don't even get assigned to kill them both yet? What a joke. Since I have Sonic's and technically Shadow's memories I also remember Eggman's countless failures to rule the world
Nazo: agreed. It seems like we're after the same thing Seelkadoom. I'm sure you know who I am since you share said memories right?
Seelkadoom: yeah I already know who you are Nazo. A being of pure negative energy who lost to Sonic and Shadow after their fusion and stuff
Nazo: correct. How about when the time's right we ditch Eggman and seek what we really want?
Seelkadoom: sure. That'll teach him
A few days later Eggman would explain to Seelkadoom why he had Sonic and Shadow's DNA, battle data and memories. He later found Nazo and Seelkadoom take a Chaos Emerald
Eggman: what are you doing?! Put that down! How did you get that?!
Seelkadoom: I dunno how did you get this Emerald?
Eggman: I found it in between the days I created you
Seelkadoom: well speaking of which you know how you told me that I have Sonic's and Shadow's blood, battle data and memories right? Well I realised your just a stingy old fool who's only good at losing to Sonic time and time again
Nazo: and if you think for even a second that someone like me was do your bidding you then your sadly mistaken.
Seelkadoom: hehehehe. Ironic for such an intelligent man
Eggman: shut up! Stand down now!
Nazo: stand down this!
He then shoots a beam at causing Eggman's base to blow sending the doctor flying backwards across the room. Nazo and Seelkadoom make their escape with the emerald
After the explosion Eggman watches on as they escape
Eggman: (oh no.. what insane monsters have I unleashed this time?)
Weeks pass by and Nazo and Seelkadoom are walking in an empty field at night
Nazo: so you see my plan would be to destroy the planet but since I feel weaker than last time I'll simply just collect enough fear, anger and sadness from these pathetic earthlings to become stronger
Seelkadoom: ssshhhh wait do you feel that?
Nazo: feel wha- *senses chaos emerald* oh now I do. It's coming from..
