"The ones that love us never really leave us."

Yuwon had no idea how long she was passed out for. Slouched down on the bathtub, water coming upto almost her nose and her breathing almost getting blocked, she felt her heart break a little. She had no idea why her heart hurt so much.
It must've been a long time since her fingers were pruned and the bathwater ran really cold. She lifted herself off, wiping herself and putting on a warm bathrobe that failed to provide any sort of comfort to her.
After finishing the classes and the orientation for the new debate club, for which she was the president, she could collapse at any moment. But a new vice president was appointed the same day and she thanked her lucky stars that it was Park Sunghoon. Although she did question the introvert's social and communication skills, they didn't overshadow his debating ones.
On the bright side, she had lost more than 5 kilos after starving herself and living off salad and occasional Snickers bars. As much as she wanted to lose weight, she couldn't give up the love of her life. Besides, it helped keep her energized when she felt like she would pass out.
Another thing that crossed her mind was her lack of real friends who could keep her company or who she could share her thoughts with.
Her mind was a weapon but it got very dangerous when she was left alone with her own thoughts. Ranting on reddit could only help so much.
But hell would freeze over before she found friends. To make friends you need to open up and there was no way in hell she'd do that to herself.
She got her phone from the nightstand where it was charging and scrolled through the official groupchat of her classmates. Comments were made about an unfair teacher and unwanted exams but she couldn't care less.
The lack of interesting topics made her close her phone with a sigh and drag her lazy ass to the closet where she changed into a loose t-shirt with panties. Comfort above anything else.
Finally returning to her desk, she put on her glasses and started on the Biology and history assignments the teachers had assigned them while listening to some her 5SOS playlist. The headphones blocked out all noises, even the noise of someone rushing into the room.
Sensing a presence behind her, she turned around to see Mrs.Han standing with her hands folded on her stomach in the proper posture she always embodied. She pushed down the headphones to her neck and stared at her in anticipation. "Yes?"
"Dinner has been served, miss. Should I bring it here?" the soft motherly voice made her sigh as she shook her head.
"I ate with friends already. I'll be fine, Mrs.Han. You should go."
She didn't buy it. Of course she didn't. The woman had raised Yuwon since she could barely talk. "You need energy to study, dear. You cannot possibly study if you're hospitalized and weak."
Yuwon smiled sheepishly at the elder woman, trying to appease her. "I did eat, Mrs.Han. You should stop worrying about me. I'll be fine."
"You say so but you're getting paler and weaker every day. You've lost at least 5 kilos in the past week." The frown drew harsh lines on her face and made Yuwon wince internally at the thought that it was caused by her. Yuwon did love the woman a lot.
"Isn't that a good thing? Mrs.Han, you know I love and respect you like a real mother. I would listen to you if it was something serious. But it isn't. I ate earlier and now I don't have an appetite so I won't eat. Please stop worrying about me or you'll keep aging faster."
