"WELL HOW MANY HAVE ORDERD DVDS AND HAVEN'T PAID FOR THEM?" claire spoke to the lady on the phone as madeleine and alex both sat at the island table eating their breakfast.

"claire." phil approached his wife who was wiping the table with the phone pressed against her ear.

"uh, yeah." she replied pointing a finger towards him.

"i could stop by on my way to school." she spoke to the lady again.

"it's really important." he mumbled moving closer to her.

"um...uh, cheryl, can i call you back? okay. great. bye. yes, phil. what?" claire hung up the phone.

"i went through your drawer in the bathroom looking for lip stuff, cause my..."

"lips were dry." claire cut him off.

"god, you know me."

"phil." claire rolled her eyes wanting her husband to get to the point.

"remember the spa certificates we got at the children's hospital auction?"

"mmm-hmm."

"well, look at this. they expire tomorrow."

"oh, well what are you gonna do?" claire asked.

phil slammed the certificates onto the table. "claire, i don't think you're grasping the magnitude of this package, valued at over $250."

claire rolled her eyes and turned to walk off. "sweetie..."

"if you don't use 'em, than all our money just goes to charity." phil said trying to get his point across.

"and so, what am i supposed to do? somewhere between dropping off alex at orchestra and picking up luke and madeleine from practice...oh, and burning a bunch of dvds of the talent show, i'm gonna, what, pop in for a quick salt scrub?"

"i thought cheryl was doing the dvds." phil furrowed his eyebrows in confusion.

"she's supposed to, but somehow she's got me doing it."

"here's what you do. you say "cheryl, no can do today." phil held up the gift certificate tapping a finger on it he continued. "need a little me time."

claire laughed. "have you met cheryl? that'll be my new nickname. i'll be called claire "me time" dunphy. it's not worth the headache."

"just say you're sick."

"then i'll run into her and it'll be a whole thing."claire explained waving a finger around in a circular gesture.

"if that happens, just say you were on your way to the pharmacy."

"phil, darling, no. not helping."she shook her head.
