"What exactly is all this?" Lucy asked.
In front of her was a massive board that seemed to depict an organization's structure of some sorts.
In the center was a large black circle titled 'Balam Alliance'. Inside of it were three groups: Oracion Seis, Tartaros, and Grimoire Heart. Several branches snaked out from the Balam Alliance and Lucy couldn't help but feel a bit overwhelmed at all of the information. Lucy also couldn't help but notice that a lot of the smaller circles that branched out from the Balam Alliance had been crossed out with a red marker.
"This is an alliance chart of all of the dark guilds that we know." Mirajane explained.
"Okay, but why?" Lucy asked.
"The dark guild's we've been tracking have become unusually active as of late. We've been thinking of strengthening inter-guild relations." Mirajane added.
"Then what's that big circle in the middle?" Elfman asked.
Ah, Juvia knows what that is. The Balam Alliance is the most powerful alliance out of all the dark guilds. They are made up of three guilds: Oracion Seis, Tartaros, and Grimoire Heart. Each of them have lesser guilds under their control and keep the underworld in check." Juvia replied.
"Ah, I hope they're not angry with us..." Lucy whimpered. "This is starting to get too scary!"
"But how tough can the Oracion Seis be? How can a guild made up of just six people be that strong?" a guild member noted.
"About Oracion Seis..." a low voice began behind everyone. "We're going to take them down!"
The sudden revelation seemed to shock the entire guild. Everyone turned around to see Makarov marching into the guild, donning the cloak of the Wizard Saints.
"Oh, welcome back Master!" Mirajane answered cheerfully.
"How are you reacting that way!?" Lucy exclaimed.
"Master, what is this all about?" Erza asked.
"It was decided that something had to be done about the Oracion Seis. It seems that they're up to something. This development couldn't be ignored, so a guild will be sent in to eliminate them." Makarov began.
"And you happened to draw the losing straw, huh?" Gray sighed.
"So is Fairy Tail shouldering all of that responsibility?" Juvia questioned.
"Not quite. This enemy is too large for that. If we went in alone, we would become the sole target for the Balam Alliance's wrath. So, we're going to form an alliance of our own!" Makarov declared.
"AN ALLIANCE!?" everyone collectively yelled.
"Fairy Tail, Blue Pegasus, Lamia Scale, and Cait Shelter. Each one will be selecting members and those members will be joining forces to eliminate the enemy."
"We can handle those guys all by ourselves!" Natsu roared.
"Natsu, Master is thinking about the long-term." Erza chastised.
"So, who're we sending?" Gray asked.
"Five people from out guild will be participating. For this operation, I've decided to select Natsu, Gray, Erza, and Lucy to be our representatives."
"WAIT, ME!?" Lucy wailed.
"All right! I'm all fired up! Time to kick some ass!" Natsu cheered.
"Nooooo! I don't wanna go!" Lucy cried.
"Master, you mentioned that five of us will be joining, but you have only named four of us," Erza said. "Who else will be joining us?"
Makarov only grinned at Erza's question. He took out a white envelope and held it into the air. "I have just received word from one of our own who was out in the field. Vergil will be joining us for this operation."
