A/N: Instead of rom-com movie quotes, I'll be quoting love songs! Please comment any suggestions you have for songs and lyrics!

Mr. Lover man - Ricky Montgomery

"The ways in which you talk to me have me wishing I were gone;

The ways in which you say my name have me running on and on"

Oh she's going to absolutely hate me for this one...

...was the thought going through my head as I duct-taped the parking ticket to the windshield of Liz Buxbaum's car. The one and only Liz. The same Liz who wears little sundresses, the Liz I used to make fun of in the second grade, the same beautiful Liz who occasionally talks to me, mostly to scold me for parking in "The Spot."

I mean, it was in "The Spot". The spot, AKA. the only reason Liz talks to me- sometimes. Sure, I have a perfectly good parking spot behind my garage, but where's the fun in that? Fighting over The Spot means I get to hear that angelic voice- an opportunity to see Liz actually approach me- whether it was to throw insults at me or not.

Will she ever notice how much I love talking to her?

"Hey!"

I jump as I hear her voice. Her voice sounds like honey.

 My heart leaps, then races.

"What's in your hand?" She says as she walks towards me.

"Nothing," I say as I smirk and back away, "You're so paranoid". God, my heart is beating crazy fast right now.

She stares at me. Why was she staring at me? Does she realize we've been making eye contact for 20 seconds now? Her intense green eyes are driving me insane. I force myself to maintain a nonchalant smirk, but inside, I'm a mess. Her face just makes me want to smile until my cheeks hurt.

"What did you do to my car?" She pokes my chest, sending an electric jolt through me.

Oh my god.

"I didn't do anything to your car, per se." I reply, my heart thumping in my chest. Are my ears red? I probably look like a idiot right now. I mean, per se? WHO SAYS PER SE?!

"Per se?"

"Whoa. Watch your filthy mouth, Buxbaum." Yeah I should just shut up at this point.

She rolls her eyes, those beautiful emerald eyes that make my heart skip a beat. I can't help but smile uncontrollably. She's so damn perfect. If I stare at her for another second, I might just lose it. So, I turn to walk away.

"This has been fun, and I love your granny shoes, by the way, but I've gotta run."

"Wes-" she begins to speak, but I've already started walking away.

What is she doing to me? I'm a wreck, lovesick.

"Have a good day, Liz!" I say hastily before entering my house, leaving her standing in front of her car.

I peek through the window, just to find her examining every wheel. That's so Liz. I watch as she gets out of the car, looking pissed- she tries to peel of the parking ticket from her windshield. I stare as she eventually gives up and drives off.

Immediately, I grab my keys and follow her to school. I'm probably going to be late, but seeing her reaction was worth it. Every minute spent near Liz is worth it, even if she'll never know how much I like her.

A/N: Thanks for reading my first chapter~ Sorry, I know it's a short one. Longer chapters are coming soon though!! I'll try to publish 1 or 2 chapters a week, sometimes more, depending on how busy I am. I know it took me a while to get the first chapter up, I was so busy with exams, sorry guys! This is my first time writing a fanfic here, so please give me tips, and if you want anything changed in this chapter, (such as: you don't like Wes's thoughts and reactions, or it's cringe) let me know, and I will fix it ASAP.
