"Kill me if you will! But I am not going to marry a man I don't know! I refuse to be a stranger's bride!" yn screamed at the top of her voice, tears streaming down her cheeks.

"You're going to suffer for this! Do you think he will take your hysterics lightly? Forget lightly, a man like him will break your bones at the slightest display of temperament! I don't think I need to do anything at all, he is coming here in five minutes. He said he would like to speak with you before the wedding. Whatever you do, yn, if you wish to live and even think about visiting your parents someday, do not create a scene in front of him!" Aunt Lim said, before storming out of the room.

Yn ran to the door and tried the lock, it was locked again. She dejectedly walked to the bed, fresh tears making their way out of her eyes. It was the middle of summer, but yn felt chills in her bones at the thought of marrying a stranger. The wedding was a few hours from now. And then... yn shuddered.

She had never met the man she was to marry. She hadn't even seen his face. All she knew was that he was the heir of the Kim Group of companies, and a ruthless man at that. He was 28, but apparently everyone was dead scared of him because of his ways. He was known to show no mercy to anyone who challenged his decisions. Oh, and did she forget to mention? The guy was the leader of South Korea's most notorious mafia ring that dealt in weapons and assasinating people. So yes, he was a killer too.

Yn began to hyperventilate. She felt stifled in her satin tube wedding gown. The dress fitted her perfectly, but she didn't like the way it revealed her shoulders and a good part of her cleavage. She kept pulling it time to time amid her crying, but nothing helped. The dress eventually slid back to where it was supposed to be. Her veil had been held in place by a diamond tiara and two huge diamond studs adorned her ears. Her lips had been painted a deep shade of rose pink.

Had she been happy about this wedding and was marrying for love, she would have perhaps liked what she was wearing. But right now, her mind revolved around what the dress gave away and whether it would give her would-be husband the kind of feelings she definitely didn't want him to have for her.

But did it matter? If her would-be husband was anything like everyone was describing him to be, it didn't really matter what she wore to their marriage bed. She was indeed doomed, yn thought dejectedly.

She felt goosebumps appear on her skin. She closed her eyes and thought of home. About her mother and stepfather and little brother Soobin. She felt a fresh bout of tears again.

A sudden bolting of the door brought her back to her senses. The door flew open, revealing the silhouette of a very tall and muscular man. Yn stood up from the bed, startled. She couldn't see the man's face clearly, as he turned around to lock the door from inside.

"Wh– who are you and why did you lock the door?" she whispered. The man turned to face her now, and she saw him.

What she saw knocked the air out of her. The man was handsome, with sharp tiger-like eyes and chiseled features. He wore an extremely well-fitted black suit, dressed for the wedding. And then it struck her. This must be who she was marrying.

The man looked at her without any emotions. He studied her face, her trembling lips, her constantly flowing tears that were clearly ruining her makeup.

Yn squirmed under his piercing gaze. He continued to stare at her for a good five minutes before proceeding to walk slowly towards her.

Yn stepped back fearfully, but the man in front of her didn't stop. Yn kept stepping back until her back hit the wall, and the man stepped up to her, stopping barely inches away from her.

Yn crossed both of her arms across her body, practically shaking.

The man in front of her had not spoken a single word still. In that silence that they stood in, yn quietly took in his features. Despite his handsome face, his eyes were dead cold. He looked like the type who could kill someone in cold blood and not have an ounce of remorse. His knuckles were hard and white as he stood in front of her with his arms crossed, looking straight at yn. His eyes appeared to be tracing every inch of her, and yet not a single word escaped his lips.

"So you're Shin yn." he finally said, his voice surprisingly warm and velvety, after what appeared like half an hour.

Yn shuddered. Her name on his lips sounded foreign. She gathered her courage. She had to speak, it was now or never.

"Please, please let me go," she whispered, barely hearing what she was saying.

"I don't want to marry you. I don't even know you. Please," she said, tears welling up in her eyes.

The man in front of her gritted his teeth. His handsome face appeared to seeth in anger, and yn found herself quietened in an instant. His eyes appeared to shed fire.

"I don't care what you want, Shin yn. Your family has promised you to me and so you shall be mine. We shall be married tonight before the Gods." he said in his deep voice, making yn's tears stop their way out of her eyes instantaneously.

The man turned around, making his way to the door. He opened the door wide open, holding it ajar. He turned a little to face her, enough for her to hear his words, "I suggest you keep your emotions in check. I don't entertain hysterics."

With that, having his last word, Kim Taehyung walked out of the room, leaving a defeated yn to fall on her knees on the floor.
