It all begins now.

In case you haven't looked around you yet, we're in what seems to be an old library. Minus the books.

There is an old door in front of us.

I feel you take ahold of my hand, and, somehow, I can almost feel your little spurts of fear and doubt.

Should you have come with me?

I'm grateful that you at least trust me enough to have come this far.

Maybe it wasn't trust, though.

This is The Book's fault that you're here.

Sorry.

We walk forward, almost as if we are totally in sync.

Oh, I forgot.

The Book does that. It makes us go to the place, do the same things. But only if we let it.

If you get lost in It, you might never get out.

We continue walking to the large oak doors in front of us.

Almost, as if by magic, they open.

Slowly, creaking, as you imagine they would.

Imagination is almost everything here.

Don't worry, if you get too scared, you can just close The Book, and the world will be gone.

I'll watch out for you though.

--

We step into a park. I'm not sure which one, but it is like a forest.

Wait.

You seem to recognize it.

Central Park. In New York.

You're more at ease now.

I smile.

You like this world, don't you?

We both stroll over to a nearby bench.

Our sync is more natural.

Now I realize that you're controlling it, not me nor The Book.

Interesting.

You notice a vendor selling food, and rush over.

You have me a piece of pretzel.

It is warm, almost too hot to hold.

Wow! This is amazing!

You seem to forget that I have never been the least bit alive. I've never experienced a sensation like this before.

I never thought it might be like this, a journey for us both.

But just like that, it's gone.

But I suppose that's all life is.

You have to savor the moment.

--

Where are we going now?

You're dragging me through taxi - littered streets to a place unknown to me.

Oh my...this place is humongous.

Our excitement seems to build together.

The Empire State Building.

Is that what it's called?

I love this feeling. Being with you is...

Never mind. Back to what we're doing. I wouldn't want to distract you too much.

You've reached the end of published parts.
