As Steffon and Dorian began to settle into their new life at Wayne Manor, they couldn't help but notice the tension between them and Damian. The youngest member of the Bat Family, Damian was notoriously difficult to get along with, his sharp tongue and aloof demeanor often creating friction. But for Steffon and Dorian, there was an underlying curiosity about their new "brother."One evening, after a particularly grueling training session, Damian found himself in the Batcave, polishing his katana with meticulous care. Steffon and Dorian entered, their own training weapons in hand, clearly looking for something to do.
"Need any help?" Steffon asked, trying to break the ice.
Damian looked up, his eyes narrowing slightly. "I don't need help," he replied curtly, turning back to his task.
Dorian exchanged a glance with Steffon before stepping forward. "We're not here to intrude," he said. "We just want to understand."
"Understand what?" Damian snapped, clearly irritated. "How to be a Wayne? How to be a part of this family?"
Steffon took a deep breath, his expression calm. "We know we have a lot to learn. But we're trying. We want to fit in."
Damian's hands stilled on the katana, his eyes softening just a fraction. "Fitting in isn't as easy as it seems," he said quietly. "Especially not in this family."
Steffon and Dorian sat down across from him, their expressions earnest. "Then help us," Steffon said. "Show us what it means to be a Wayne. To be a part of this family."
Damian hesitated, his eyes searching their faces. "Why do you even care?" he asked. "You've only just met us."
Dorian's expression grew serious. "Because we don't have anyone else," he said. "Talia-our mother-created us, but she never gave us a choice. She never let us be our own people. Here, with all of you, we have a chance to be more than just her creations."
Damian looked away, his expression conflicted. He knew what it was like to feel isolated, to struggle with identity and purpose. He had spent much of his life trying to prove himself, to find his place within the Bat Family.
"Fine," Damian said finally, his voice softer. "I'll help you. But you have to be ready to work. Being a Wayne isn't just about the name. It's about the responsibility."
Steffon and Dorian nodded, relief washing over their faces. "We're ready," Steffon said. "Whatever it takes."
Over the next few weeks, Damian took it upon himself to mentor the twins, pushing them hard but also teaching them the values that Bruce had instilled in him. They trained together, honing their skills and learning to work as a team. Slowly but surely, the tension began to ease, replaced by a growing sense of camaraderie.
One afternoon, after a particularly intense training session, Damian and the twins found themselves sitting in the garden, the warm sun a welcome respite from the cold shadows of the Batcave.
"You're improving," Damian said, his tone grudgingly complimentary. "You're starting to get it."
Steffon smiled, a rare expression of happiness crossing his face. "Thanks, Damian. It means a lot coming from you."
Dorian nodded in agreement. "We wouldn't have made it this far without your help."
Damian shrugged, his expression softening. "You're my brothers," he said simply. "It's what we do. We look out for each other."
Steffon and Dorian exchanged a glance, a silent understanding passing between them. For the first time, they felt like they truly belonged.
As the days turned into weeks, the bond between Damian and the twins grew stronger. They trained together, fought together, and laughed together. They were not just a team, but a family, each member bringing something unique and valuable to the group.
One evening, as they sat in the library, the twins couldn't help but reflect on how much had changed since their arrival. They had gone from being isolated and uncertain to feeling like they were a part of something bigger.
"Do you ever wonder what she's thinking?" Steffon asked quietly, referring to Talia.
Damian's expression hardened slightly. "She has her own plans," he said. "But that doesn't mean we have to follow them. We make our own choices. We decide who we want to be."
Dorian nodded, his eyes thoughtful. "And we choose to be a part of this family. To stand with you."
Damian smiled, a rare, genuine smile that lit up his face. "Then we're in this together. No matter what."
As they continued to talk, the bond between them grew even stronger. They knew that the road ahead would not be easy, but they also knew that they would face it together, as brothers. And in that moment, they felt a sense of belonging that they had never known before.
