MARII' was laying in bed one saturday morning scrolling thru tiktok & instagram etc.
in reality she was just trying to distract her mind from drifting to DANIEL.
ever since that last day they saw each other that kiss has been replaying in her mind, to the point where it was giving her a headache .
she was trying to distract herself from textin' DANIEL , they haven't spoke since that day and he hasn't reached out to her yet which she found weird but was still contemplating whether she should say something to him or not.
she anxiously played around with her phone debating whether she should be the one to text first or not..
she slowly unlocks her phone and goes to the imessages app and clicks on daniel's contact. Marii' let's out a long sigh and begins typing, the only thing that could be heard within the quiet room being the sound of her acrylic nails hitting the screen with every letter she tapped and the sound of her AC.
" ʏᴏᴜ ᴅᴏɴᴇ ʙᴇɪɴɢ ʜᴏʟʟʏᴡᴏᴏᴅ ᴏʀ?..."
she sits there looking at her phone, hesitating whether she should send the text or not, her thumb brushed past the send button and she clicks it after a few moments of hesitation.
Marii quickly regrets sending that text not knowing how Daniel would've reacted to it but it was too late now.
She decides to clean her room & shower and eat to distract herself from checking her phone every second for a reply from him.
AFTER

Marii' walks into her room, her body wrapped her in her light pink towel, she gently closes the door behind her and goes over and sits on her bed nervously anticipating the moment. She grabs her phone from the charger and flips it over to indeed see a new text from Daniel.
she anxiously unlocks her phone and reads the next text she received from him. She clicks on the new text message, her smile fading real quick
" ᴅᴀ ᴘʜᴏɴᴇ ᴡᴏʀᴋꜱ ʙᴏᴛʜ ᴡᴀʏꜱ ."
she sucked her teeth and put her phone down feeling disappointed in the response Daniel gave her.
he was right the phone does work both ways but Marii' was at least expecting him to text first since he always does. She doesn't stress the situation any longer after some minutes of over thinking and just simply responds with
"ok."

"yo tell me why this girl gon' hit up my phone talkin about 'you done being hollywood?' " Daniel stated to Bando who was next to him on the couch rolling their 3rd blunt of the night
"you and this marii shit , one day y'all cool the next y'all don't like eachother. figure it out bro" Bando says with a chuckle as he seals the blunt, He wasn't lying though one day Daniel and Marii are cool but the next they are not, which was clearly confusing everyone at this point.
"what did you say back to her after that?" Bando says , somewhat invested in their bs. "i just told her the phone works both ways, after that she just said ok, like as if i'm supposed to care that she feeling away " Daniel says to bando while shaking his head and laughing a lil
"we gonna figure it out some day, i hope."
