"Izuku, it's done!!"
Hisashi finishes laying out the wiring for his latest commission, a pair of gauntlets that would focus the fire from a hero's quirk, allowing it to centralize and compress the fire into a beam of varying intensity and heat.
Getting up, he overlooks the gauntlets one final time before hearing his son's tiny footsteps reach outside the door and barging in, "Yeah, dad!?" Izuku abruptly exclaims, Excitement evident.
Hisashi observes his son, noting his son's lack of proper attire. "Izuku, I know I taught you the proper dress to have in a workshop." He finishes, chuckling, "Go put on your boots and flame-retardant overalls."
Izuku bolts back up the stairs before returning, now adequately dressed and fumbling with his fingers in excitement, widely smiling at Hisashi.
"I'm back, Dad."
Hisashi nods, adding, "So you are." He grins, inputting a line of code into his laptop. "Just polishing some code."
Izuku walks around the gauntlets, his eyes full of curiosity as he looks back and forth from them to his dad.
Hisashi's grin widens upon noticing this, laying his laptop to the side and motioning Izuku to him. "Come here, Izuku."
"Okay, papa!"
Izuku quickly makes his way over to Hisashi, and once in reach, Hisashi picks him up and bounces him in his lap, much to Izuku's enjoyment. "Curious?" Hisashi asks his son, to which he receives an energetic nod.
Hisashi brings up a picture of an upcoming hero on a holographic projector, asking his son, "Do you know him?"
Izuku nods immediately, "That's the pro-hero Firestarter, quirk: Wild Fire." Izuku closes his eyes, tightening his lips in concentration, "graduated from Shiketsu University Last year, known for recently defeating the D-rated villain, 'small-time' saving a family of 4 in the process."
Hisashi inwardly chuckles, rubbing his kid's hair in amusement, 'Right, course you do.' He ceases rubbing Izuku's hair, "Then you should know that he has a hard time controlling his quirk?" a question more than a statement.
Izuku shakes his head, "it seemed like he had a good grasp of it in the video." Hisashi nods, "Yes, he can control when he has it on or off, and he has good enough control to vary the output, but." He swipes in mid-air, and a description of his quirk and a video of a mock battle replaces the previous image, "it just emits from his entire body and can't concentrate into a single area, meaning much of his ability is underused." He sees Izuku look on in understanding.
Izuku questions, "So much of the energy he puts into his quirk is wasted?" Hisashi claps his hands, congratulating Izuku. "Look at my young little genius here!" He hugs his son affectionately. "Maybe I should tell Mom to make your favorite?" Izuku nods speedily.
Hisashi laughs heartily, "You're correct; his quirk emits from his entire body, meaning that much of his quirk is wasted heat energy.".
He puts Izuku down and gets up, walking over to the gauntlets and looking at Izuku. "This is the Prometheus gauntlet, and it is my hopeful solution to mitigate his quirks' waste heat."
The gauntlets are a deep red wine, with each finger possessing a white tip and a tube under the wrist. Hisashi points at the material, "a tungsten-steel alloy made to resist the effects of his quirk coated with a flame retardant paint." He moves to the massive openings to the side, "these vents are supposed to gather his fire and compress it into these canisters," shakes a canister, "which will then shoot out from the cannon in the form of a compressed beam."
