Chapter 6-The truth

Uta cleared her throat and remained silent for a while to pick her words
"So.. Luffy right now is moody, cold, annoying and acts like a spoiled brat right?" Law nodded at her words not totally agreeing to the last part but ANYWAYSSS "well Luffy didn't use to be like that.. his personality was completely different in the past"

Law wasn't surprised by that as Luffy's friends had already explained the situation somehow. Uta continued "Luffy was cheerful, energetic, funny and chaotic I could say" she chucked a bit feeling nostalgia "he had an indescribable sense of freedom and kindness.. he loved to make others laugh and be the Center if attention" her smile soon faded "But everything happened when Luffy was 16... he was involved in accident where he lost his brother." She said monotonously

Law was taken aback by that and he couldn't form a word. That must have been very painful and difficult to deal with. He thought

"I don't mean that he doesn't smile now but still! He behaves so... y-you know so unlike him" her voice cracked

"...yeah I know.." Law said the only thing that could think about that moment

"Lately he has become very hideous and has been acting strange so.. can you maybe..-"

"Don't worry I'll look out for him" Law assured her

"Are you okay with that? I mean if you are not then-" her sentence was cut of again

"It's fine.." Law replied and looked at her "let's go sleep for now"

The morning finally came and even though Law put an alarm at 4:30am to reach the bathroom first, the door was locked. For the fucks sake... How early does this dude wake up?!

"Hey shortie for how long are you planning to stay here?" He shouted loud enough for only Luffy to hear through the door

"I dunno.. why are you up so early?" He replied

"I wanted to reach the bathroom first but it seems that you wake up too early.. never mind finish whatever you are doing soon or else I'll break the door" he sighed and left

Luffy's POV:

Damn... one day I'll get caught. But who cares? We are not a thing so he won't care.
After some minutes I stepped outside the bathroom and headed to the kitchen where I found the creep- Law

"Morning.." I muttered

He looked at me with an an why-are-you-so-late expression and opened his mouth "Good morning shortie"

My eye twitched at that nickname.. what the fuck dude

"I'm not short.. it's just that you are so tall." I argued back

"Yes you are and yes I am" he surprisingly patted my head and left to reach the bathroom door. I blushed at his sudden touch. Nah.... not like that, I was just.. surprised

As usual we ate our breakfast together while Uta was still sleeping. But unexpectedly the one who talked first was not me, but him.. and I didn't like how the conversation was going to end up

"Hey.. what did you want to tell me yesterday?" Oh my god it's not the right time now.. I need to get away with an excuse

"U-uh when?" I looked away

Law stared at me with an annoyed look and replied "you know.. before Uta came out of the bathroom. When it was just the two of us"

"O-oh right" I said and took a deep breath "I don't.." I gulped and im sure that Law noticed how uncomfortable I was "I don't think that this is the right time now.." I finally said

"Is it such a big deal?" He asked me

"Not now.. I don't want to" I confessed. At first I thought that Law would get pissed at me but instead he nodded showing clear comprehension

"It's fine.. how about today in the evening? Here?" he added

"Ohh.. sure yeah" I stood up grabbed my cup of coffee and left to meet my friends since my first course was delayed.

No ones POV:

"Oi Luffy you should have brought Trafalgar with you" Usopp said

"Fufu~ I think Luffy wanted to spend some time alone with us. Or he doesn't like to share his Law with us" Robin teased

"I hate you both.." Luffy rolled his eyes "by the way.. where's Zoro and Sanji?"

"That's a good question.." Nami sighed "we don't know either"

"Maybe Zoro got lost in his way? And maybe Sanji has a course?" Chopper asked

"..anyways I'll call them" Luffy called Zoro but no answer. His next option was Sanji

Sanji's POV:

My phone buzzed and I couldn't care less about it. All that mattered was me and Zoro right now. We both met each other randomly in the morning and we have been making out in his room since then. I really don't want to get disturbed by anyone right now.

"Hey Sanji.." Zoro broke our kiss "don't you think that we should answer our phones? Luffy has called me more than three times.."

"I bet that he thought you got lost in your way to meet up with the group" I smirked

"Hey.. that's not funny. I'm not that bad with directions come on" he replied to my teasing

"Yeah sure whatever.. you may be bad with directions but I couldn't say the same with your kisses" I cupped his cheek and he blushed at my touch

"That's for sure!" He smirked and pulled me into a desperate long kiss

Law's POV:

I was done with my courses and so was Luffy, but mine lasted a bit longer so I was the last one to return to our room. To my surprise I found both Luffy and Uta sitting in the kitchen.

"Hey.. everything alright?" I asked and they both turned to look at me. Luffy seemed exhausted and upset. I immediately turned my head at Uta to ask her what was wrong, but I instantly regretted it as I observed Uta's face.. she looked disappointed?.. what the hell happened there?

"Everything's fine don't worry.. I'll go outside for a little bit" Uta mumbled staring at the floor and left. Luffy gritted his teeth

"Luffy.. what's wrong?" I looked at him

Luffy stood up and hugged me hard. Because of his sudden move I didn't have time to react so we both fell backwards and my back hit the floor. Luffy didn't move. Actually the only thing that was in motion was his tears that couldn't stop coming out of his eyes.

"I'm s-so sorry.. I messed up again" he sniffed and broke our hug

I couldn't see him like this. So I pulled him back into a hug again. At first I felt embarrassed and I thought that Luffy would interpret this action differently.. but I soon let go of those emotions and remembered my conversation with Uta earlier 'I will take care of him' those words echoed in my head that moment. So I took the courage and whispered him "I'm here if you need to talk.. what happened between you and Uta?"

Luffy's POV:

We were now both sitting on my bed awkwardly. I wasn't ready to talk to him yet.. definitely NOT now.. if he finds out about the pills.. he will hate me

Just like her.. just like Uta..

OHH MY GAWD I think this story has gotten a bit complicated- but dw everything will be clearer in 2-3 chapters oof
It has been a month since I'm done with my school stuff SOOO I WILL TRY TO CONCENTRATE AND DO MY BESTT 😤✌️✌️💅
