//ALEX PETTYFER AS AARON//

He was human. He doesn't know what a mate is. How is this going to work? I'm going to be the beta for goodness sake! I can't have a human as a mate! Will he feel the connection like I do? I want him now! Ugh my wolf is struggling to get out. All the wolves in the room are looking between me and the new boy as if we have grown another head. This is unheard of. I don't know what to do.

Mr Mcoult, clueless as to what's happening in the classroom invites the boy to the front of the room. "Mr. Turner, would you like to introduce yourself to the class?" Turner what a nice last name. Mrs Gemma Turner.

"Hi, I'm Aaron. I just moved here from Australia, obviously. That's really it." He turned questioningly to Mr Mcoult.

"Excellent Aaron. You may sit in the empty seat next to Gemma over there. Gemma raise your hand."

I put my hand in the air, not taking my gaze off of Aaron Turner. Even his name is perfect. As he gets closer to me it takes all the power in me not to rip his clothes off and take him right there.

I need to calm down. He's human. I can't scare my mate away.

He sat down next to me and leaned towards me, "Gemma? Can I borrow a piece of paper?" My heart stopped when he said my name.

His scent overwhelmed my senses and I nodded, handing him a sheet. As our hands brushed by eachother, I felt the sparks rush from the contact up my arm. Aaron looked down at his hand with a confused expression. He looked back at me frowning before shaking his head. "This school has a lot of static electricity." He gave me a genuine smile and I returned one. He feels the connection!

"Something like that."

I stared at Aaron for most of the period until Poppy hit me for being "creepy" since he didn't know what was going on.

I needed to get out of here or else I was gonna do something I would regret later.

The bell rang and I ran out of the school doors, running all the way to the pack house. I needed to speak with my father immediately.

I mind linked him saying it was important and he replied telling me to go to his office.

I barged into the doors.

"Why are you not in school Gemma?" He demanded looking up at me from his desk.

"I found my mate." My face was solemn.

My father stood up, "What? Where? Who? Why do you not look happy? Did he reject you? That bastard I'm gon-"

"DAD! He's human!" I shouted over him.

He stopped mid pace and looked at me. "Are you sure?"

I nodded in confirmation. My father left the room and I followed him. He led me to the Alphas office.

He opened the doors and we entered.

"What happened?" The alpha immediately sat me down in the couch and started questioning me. Obviously my dad had mind linked him as we were coming down.

"I found my mate. He came into school as a new student and he's human and his name is Aaron Turner." I searched the alphas face. I need some reassurance or something but there was nothing.

"You're sure he is your mate?" The alpha asked seriously.

"Sparks, scent and everything."

The alpha and my father mind linked with grave faces. I looked between them hoping to catch part of the conversation.

"Gemma, this has never happened before. We have rules that state that no human may be allowed to know our secret for safety purposes. On the other hand, you have the right to be with your mate freely. This case is very odd considering your ranking and your soon to be beta title. As a beta, you carry great responsibility, knowledge and power. In order to protect the sacred duties of the beta from outsiders, you may not tell Aaron Turner about what we are until you are absolutely certain he loves you. I'm sorry it has to be this way, Gemma, but it is a matter of the pack's security." The alpha told me slowly.

"I understand." I understood why it was necessary but I don't particularly wish to torture myself this way. The alphas wish is my command.
