Arjun woke up with a burst of excitement, the kind that only comes with the anticipation of a special day. He knew it was the start of his birthday week and had been eagerly counting down the days. With a wide grin, he jumped out of bed and ran downstairs to the breakfast table, hoping to see some sign that his family remembered."Good morning, baba," Arjun greeted Arnav cheerfully, sitting down at the table.
"Morning, bacha," Arnav replied, sipping his coffee and hiding a smirk behind the mug.
Arjun scanned the room, looking for any hints of decorations or special breakfast treats.
"What's got you so happy this morning?" Arnav asked, feigning ignorance.
Arjun bit his lip, trying to hide his disappointment. "Oh, nothing special, baba," he said, though he couldn't suppress a small hopeful smile.
Armaan entered the room next, adjusting his tie. "Morning baby. Ready for college?"
"Yeah, bhai," Arjun replied, his excitement dimming a bit. "Any plans for the week?"
Armaan shook his head. "Just the usual work, baby. tumne kyun pucha?"
Arjun's shoulders slumped slightly, but he quickly recovered, determined not to let it bother him. "No reason. Just aise hi."
As the day went on, Arjun's excitement turned into confusion. Every time he tried to bring up his birthday, his family brushed it off or changed the subject. Even his friends seemed to be in on it. During their usual video call, Kabir, Abhishek, and Yuvraj acted like it was just another day.
"Hey guys, tumlogon ke kuch plans hain iss weekend keliye?" Arjun asked, hoping they'd slip up.
"Not really, AJ," Kabir said casually. "Just the usual college stuff."
Arjun sighed. "Okay, just checking."
As the week progressed, Arjun's initial excitement gave way to disappointment. He started to wonder if they had really forgotten. Every day he woke up with a glimmer of hope, only for it to be dashed by the end of the day. By the time his birthday arrived, Arjun felt a mix of sadness and resignation.
On the eve of his birthday, the family gathered in the living room for their usual evening chat. Arjun sat quietly, watching everyone. Khushi noticed his subdued demeanor and decided to engage him.
"Arjun, bache tu kyun itna chup chup hai. kya huwa hai? sab thk?" she asked, her eyes filled with concern.
"haan, Mumma, I'm fine," he lied, forcing a smile. "Just thora sa tired hun."
The clock ticked closer to midnight, and Arjun excused himself, saying he was heading to bed. He trudged upstairs, feeling more disheartened than ever. He crawled into bed, staring at the ceiling, trying to come to terms with the idea that his birthday might go uncelebrated.
But just as the clock struck twelve, Arjun's door burst open, and his room was flooded with light. His entire family and friends poured in, cheering and shouting, "Happy Birthday, Arjun!"
Arjun sat up, stunned. His room was quickly decorated with balloons and streamers. A large birthday cake was wheeled in, and his friends rushed to his side, pulling him into a tight group hug.
"aap sab!" Arjun exclaimed, tears of joy streaming down his face. "aap sab toh bhul gaye the naa meri birthday!"
"meri jaan ham apne baby ki birthday bhul sakte Hain?," Arnav said, pulling him on his lap ruffling his hair. "We just wanted to make it a surprise."
Armaan hugged him tightly. "We could never forget your birthday, bache."
Yash and Khushi joined in, showering him with love and kisses. yash kissed him on his forehead l" happy birthday mera bacha" said yash
"thankyou papa!" he emotionally replied.. "chalein naa ab cake cut karein mujhe khana hai kabse wait karraha hun"said aryan and the family laughed and cut the cake fed eachother.
They all stayed up late, celebrating and enjoying the moment. The next morning, Arjun woke up with a smile, the events of the previous night playing over in his mind. As he made his way downstairs, he was greeted with the sight of the house bustling with preparations for his grand birthday party.
Decorators were hanging up lights and banners, caterers were setting up tables laden with food, and a stage was being assembled in the garden. His family and friends were all pitching in, ensuring everything was perfect.
"Wow!" Arjun said, taking it all in.
"Only the best for our birthday boy," Yash said, wrapping an arm around him. "We wanted to make it extra special just like we do every year."
Arjun spent the day in a flurry of activity, ordering everyone and teasing them and enjoying the company of his loved ones. By evening, the house was transformed into a stunning party venue. Guests began to arrive, and the family greeted them.
The party was a grand affair, with music, dancing, and laughter filling the air. Arjun's friends had planned a special performance, and his family had prepared a heartfelt video montage of his childhood memories. As the night went on, Arjun couldn't help but feel overwhelmed by the love and effort everyone had put into making his birthday unforgettable.
MR. ashish randhawa their client came towards yash and arnav and said" i must say, party ki preparation toh bht grand ki huwi hai"
" ofcourse mere bete ka birthday hai grand toh hona hi tha" said yash. and the conversation continued..As the party wound down and the guests started to leave, Arjun found himself surrounded by his family and friends. They all gathered around him, sharing stories and laughs, and Arjun realized just how lucky he was to have such amazing people in his life.
"Thank you, everyone," he said, his voice filled with emotion. "yeh meri zindagi ka sabse best birthday tha. I love you all so much."
Arnav pulled him into a tight hug. "We love you too, baby."
As the family gathered in the living room, Arjun saw his moment. He turned to Arnav with his most adorable puppy eyes. "Baba?" he asked.
Arnav sensing what was coming, replied cautiously, "Yes, bache, bolo?"
"Baba, mujhe ice cream chahiye," said Arjun, his eyes twinkling with hope.
Arnav immediately shook his head. "Nahi, aaj ke liye bahut sweets ho gaye aur main nahi chahta tum beemar padho."
"But baba, pleaseee, mera bahut dil chah raha hai," Arjun pleaded.
Seeing that Arnav wasn't backing down, he turned to his saviour, his father. "Papaa, I want ice cream," he said in his cutest voice.
Arnav glanced at Yash, eyeing him to say no, but Yash couldn't resist Arjun's puppy eyes. "Arnav, ek khane do. Bacha hai, kuch nahi hota," he said.
"Papa, no. Yeh beemar pad jayega, you know how sensitive he is," Arnav argued.
Yash insisted, "Ek hi toh hai, khane do, kuch nahi hoga."
Arnav sighed, "Thik hai, lekin agar yeh beemar padha naa toh aap hi sambhalna, mere paas mat aana."
"Haan, thik hai, main sambhal lunga. Khane do usse," Yash reassured.
The rest of the brothers shook their heads, knowing if Arjun fell sick, their father would be the first to panic and Arnav would have to handle everything.Veer got up to bring ice cream for everyone, and they all enjoyed their treat, savoring each other's company and the joy of the moment.
As the night came to an end, Arjun lay in bed with arnav, he put his head on his chest and arnav pat his back just like he used to do in childhood to make him sleep. he lay peacefully replaying the day's events in his mind. He couldn't stop smiling, feeling a warmth in his heart that he knew would stay with him forever. This birthday had been more than he ever imagined, and he knew he would cherish these memories for a lifetime.
