I felt someone lying next to me, and then they started playing with my hair. As much as I would've screamed and cried, I couldn't move. I couldn't open my eyes or move a muscle. All I could do right now is breath. For some reason though, I felt relaxed, I didn't panic. Smooth, long fingers rubbed my cheek and lightly rubbed my lower lip. He was a man. I could tell by his touch and his body behind me. He wrapped an arm around my waist and layed his head on my pillow next to me. Soft curls tickled the back of my head. Maybe it's the boy who saved me. I started gaining strength and I started moving my arms a little.
I quickly shot open my eyes and turned around to find, nothing. No one was here. I know he was here, I'm not crazy. It felt too real to be a dream. My head snapped in the direction of my window to find it half open. I quickly ran to it and looked outside looking for a sign of someone. Again, luck wasn't on my side. I closed my window and this time I checked I locked it well. I looked over at the clock on my desk. It was already 2:13 p.m. My dad didn't get here until 4.
I needed rest. I needed time to think. Lately I've been sleeping a lot, but it's the ony peaceful time of my life. You just forget about everything and everyone for a while. I layed down on the soft pink covers and closed my eyes. Images of Harry just randomly popped into my head. Most of those pictures I had never seen before. I slowly started drifting to sleep, hoping I'd finally have a good dream....
I shivered as the cold wind blew through my tan skin and my dark red hair. The same feeling ran through me giving me a wierd feeling in the pit if my stomach. I felt as if someone was staring at me, yet I've had that feeling since i was 13. I started to have the feeling someone was watching me since then, but i wasn't scared. I was snapped out of my thoughts when i saw a tall shadow walking behind me. I stopped dead on my tracks my heart beating a million times per second. I stared at the shadow on the building too afraid to turn around. My breath hitched in my throat as i saw a familiar bush of loose curls behind me. My suspects were right. HE was the one watching me. Was i supposed to be scared of him? Could I trust him? A rush of courage ran through me and i decided to speak.
"W-who are y-you? Why have you b-been following me?" I waited for an answer, but none came. I decided i had to turn around and come face to face with him.
As i turned around he took to steps back behind the light of the tall street light. I couldn't see him very well only a few details. He was tall, a mop of curls placed on his head. The only feature that stood out were his eyes. Big green emerald eyes staring into my soul.
"What do you want from me?" He stayed quite squinting his eyes as if in deep thought. I took a few steps closer wanting to see who this mysterious man was.
"Aren't you afraid?" His deep raspy voice gave me shivers up my spine.
"No" i said as bravely as I could. Whoever he was I couldn't let him notice the fear i had.
"Who are you? Why have you been following me?!" I said half yelling.
"Im your gaurdian"
"My what?"
"Watch out for danger. Don't walk out alone" he slowly started fading away, aswell as all my surroundings. My heart started racing again as I took in all his features. Harry.
My eyes shot open as I let out a small gasp. Harry in my dreams again? Why hadn't this ever happened before? I heard yelling downstairs, and realized it was my parents.
"GET OUT!" My mom yelled. Oh crap, dad. I shot out of bed and ran downstairs. My lips started trembling as I saw my mom throwing bags of clothes at my dad, who was standing at the front door.
"Dad? Mom? What's happening?" They both shot their heads in my direction.
"Go to your room sweety, we're fine"
"Just suck it up and tell her" She dropped a few clothes and came up to me.
"What's going on is your father is leaving this house" No this couldn't be happening. I felt a few tears coming out of my eyes.
"What? No daddy you can't leave" I walked to him and hugged him, not wanting to let go. My mom snatched my arms off my dad and pulled me away.
"Leave.Leave and never come back!" She pointed towards the door. My dad started picking up his clothes and opened the front door. At this point I was sobbing.
"NO DADDY! DON'T LEAVE!" I was struggling to get out of my moms' hold but I was too weak.
"LET ME GO!"
"LEAVE!" My dad started walking outside but turned around to say goodbye.
"Im so sorry Maria" He walked past the door and I saw him getting in his car.
"LET ME GO MOM!" She let go of my wrists and I ran outside and started chasing my dads' car.
"NO DADDY! DONT LEAVE!DONT LEAVE ME!" I dropped on the hard road sobbing my heart out. My dad just left me. The only person I trusted. I hated my life. I hated my mom. I don't care how harsh that sounds. She practically took half of my life away. I stood up and walked back to the house. I slammed the front door and started running up the stairs.
"MARIA!COME BACK DOWN HERE YOUNG LADY!"
"SHUT UP!" I ran into my room and locked the door. I dropped myself on the soft beige, carpet and cried, ignoring my moms' yelling. She pounded on the door, yelling for me to come out. But I never did. I wasn't going to look at her the same way again. Not after what she did.
