[1st arc start]

After the Great Demon War, Humanity celebrated the death of the two Demon Kings

GAIA, Global Awakeners International Association, The one responsible for leading humanity in its fight against Gehenna, tried to hide the losses they have suffered, and they succeeded

They did indeed mourn the death of the Two members of the Supreme, yet that did not stop the joy that humanity felt after they finally had a win against the Demons

Yet, along with all this happiness, there was a single question that everyone had asked

Where is the White Shade?

*Knock Knock Knock*

"Oi! Lenn! you haven't paid your rent yet! It's been 3 months already!!"

A fat balding man continuously knocked on a door

Inside the shabby apartment, There was a boy whose head was buried deep in his pillow, trying to ignore the voice of his landlord

"Wake up Lenn! How long are you going to be staying like that?! I ain't running a charity here kid!"

With those final words, the landlord walked away with a sigh

As his footsteps echoed away, he finally raised his head

***

"Urghh, what time is it?"

I silently muttered as I looked at my phone with a crack large enough to cover my entire screen

"8:12"

Ah shit

Standing up I got ready quickly, changing into a spare of clothes that smelled the least

I stared at myself in front of the mirror

I noticed that my hair had gotten quite long, to the point that it reached my shoulders

My eyebags have also gotten a lot larger

Turning my head away, I sighed

"I look pathetic"

I told myself

"Well, I am pathetic"

After wearing my shoes, I opened my fridge which contained a single loaf of bread that was a day away from molding

With a spoon, I scooped out the peanut butter that was stuck at the very bottom of the container and spread it to a piece of bread

"It'll be a long day"

I sighed inwardly, and as my eyes landed on the window, came the incredible view of City J

It was said to be the liveliest city, the most populated one, but, in my eyes

everything was black and white

I stepped out of my door to begin my day

///

I spend my hours usually like this

I wake up early, usually at 7 or 8, depending on my mood, prepare, and head out to my day job

"Lenn, you're finally here"

An old lady welcomed me with a smile, and of course, I bowed back

"Ah! Have you had any breakfast already? I prepared some cookies and tea"
