Colette raised an eyebrow at the screen in front of her. She was watching the latest addition to the Ladyblog and was slightly in disbelief of what she was seeing.
"What I don't understand," She told Vohon, who was almost disappearing into a bag of sunflower seeds. "Is why on Earth Marinette had her textbook with her when she was transformed. That is virtually asking for trouble."
Vohon shrugged, cheeks stuffed with seeds. "Maybe she was on her way to something she would need it for."
Colette shot him an unimpressed look, "You're an everyday Sherlock Holmes." She told him, before noticing his confused look and remembering that the Kwami probably hadn't seen the light of day for centuries before meeting her. "He's a famous fictional detective."
"Thank you for the compliment." Vohon smiled at her and Colette narrowed her eyes at him, unsure if he truly hadn't noticed her sarcasm, or if he was wilfully ignoring it.
Standing up from her seat and picking up her satchel, Colette adjusted her waistcoat so Vohon could hide inside it, before making her way out of her room and down the stairs. Walking through the bakery, she called out to her parents.
"I'm going to spend a while at the Eiffel Tower, I think the lighting should be perfect to get some good photos of it." Though Colette was not particularly artistic, photography was something that had always interested her, the way someone could take a snapshot of a moment and perfectly convey their own feelings as well as what was going on around them.
"Alright, Letta. See you later." Her father replied, Colette shooting him a grin before opening the door. She had to wait a moment as people arrived outside to enter the bakery, but then she was able to leave the building and head towards the famous monument.
She had not gone far before she felt her phone vibrate from its place in her pocket, causing her to quickly retrieve it. She knew the specific tone of the notification and quickly pulled up the Ladyblog, wondering what she was about to end up pulled into now. It was a live stream from Alya, picturing an akumatised villain.
"Oh my goodness, coming to you live Ladyblog viewers. I am at the scene even before Ladybug or Chat Noir. This is insane!" Her voice was a sort of stage whisper but still seemed to echo slightly around whatever room she was in.
Colette frowned, trying to remember what Marinette had told her that morning, she knew that the girl was going to some sort of display on Ancient Egypt with Alya but couldn't think quite where. Quickly accessing the internet and searching for exhibitions in her area, she noticed that the top one was being help at the Louvre and nodded, that sounded about right.
Making sure she was out of sight, she said the transformation words. "Vohon, rise from the ashes."
Having done this, she retrieved her baton from its holster and vaulted herself into the air, making her way towards the museum as quickly as possible. She met up with Chat Noir, running through the halls together until they reached the lower levels.
"So, how's your day going?" Chat asked her and Firebird shot him an amused glance.
"It was going great until I had to come here and fight another villain. Given the frequency with which this seems to happen, you would think that someone around here would have started anger management classes."
"You make a very good point." Chat admitted, before both heroes came to a halt not far from the metal bars containing both Ladybug and the villain.
"Sekhmet, give me your strength." They heard before the villain made his way over to the bars and pulled them apart to create a gap.
